"Why the long face?" Ben questioned, as he slumped down on the sofa next to Alexa, throwing his arms around her as she gave him a small smile.

"He fucked up didn't he?" Nathan questioned, as he leant against a table in the boardroom, as Alexa looked up at her brothers best friend, he had seen Alexa in worse states than this, and he always remained mutual when Alexa and Mason were in an argument.

"You don't know the half of it" Alexa mumbled, as she popped one of the chocolates from the table into her mouth and let it melt on her tongue.

"So what did he do?" Nathan questioned, as Alexa rolled her eyes as Ben put his finger to his mouth, sending a scowl in Nathan's direction as he held his hands up defensively.

"He cheated" Alexa stated, her voice calm whilst her mind wasn't. "Oh shit" Nathan muttered, as he adverted his eyes elsewhere in the room, anywhere but Alexa's eyes. "Nice going fuckwit" Ben muttered as he ran his own hand across his face, shaking his head at the Mount family friend.

"I don't really want to talk about it so can we please go and do something instead?" Alexa chimed, trying to make herself happier, but the truth was she was wallowing in her own self pity, she had every right to be sad, even angry or mad, but she just felt lost, like maybe she was always destined to be alone.

"That new milkshake bar opened up in the high street if you want to go there?" Nathan questioned, as Alexa nodded her head, she didn't care where she went, she just wanted to be out of the house.

"Milkshake it is" Ben smiled, it was the first time he had really smiled in a while. He was currently on an injury break, and it was inevitable that he was going to be out for some while, but despite not seeing his team mates every day like usual, he was coping well, and it meant he was always around to answer to Alexa, even if it was just a moaning phone call about how bored she was without the guys around to keep her busy.

"Let's go" Nathan smiled, as he opened the door, and placed his black sunglasses over his eyes, it didn't matter that it wasn't sunny, it was his thing, and Alexa assumed it was because of all the times he had been spotted out with Mason.

Alexa smiled to herself, as she grabbed the SnapBack from Bens head and placed it on her own, smiling up at him as he frowned playfully at her. "Thankfully I have a beanie in my car" Ben teased, as he ran a hand through his hair and then fixed the SnapBack on Alexa's head, making sure it fit correctly, as he smiled down at her, he knew deep down that his heart would belong to her in some sense, maybe she had been his first crush, or his second or third, but it was something about her that drew him back to her every time, and in Bens mind, no one else would compare.

"Nath? What you listening to?" Alexa chuckled, as she pulled one of his AirPods from his ears and placed it against her own, letting the music softly fill her ears. "Oh, some playlist" Nathan smiled, as he tuned up the music on his phone, letting Alexa hear the music more clearly.

It's always have and never hold, you've begun to feel like home yeah

Alexa sighed softly to herself, she felt the lyrics as they enveloped her and span around her head, despite Ben lazily laying his arm over her shoulder, smiling down at her, and anyone walking past would automatically assume that they were more than friends.

"Do you think you and Jack will sort things?" Ben whispered as Alexa passed the air pod back to Nathan and looked at Ben with her eyes showing the sorrow of his name being mentioned.

"He cheated Ben, I don't know if that's something you can come back from" Alexa whispered back, as she began to play with the tie from her hoodie, trying her hardest to block out that the person she had fell for and put her trust in had broken it and made her feel like nothing.

"You don't need to overthink it Lex, everything will work it's self out, god has a funny way of doing things" Ben stated, as he gave Alexa a small smile, as she looked up into his blue eyes, despite Bens eyes looking tired they showed so much wisdom, so much life and for a moment she got lost in them, before she mentally kicked herself for doing it.

"Well, it sucks" Alexa muttered to herself, as they walked into the milkshake shop, the smell of milk overwhelming Alexa, making her stomach turn and the need to throw up in her mouth becoming clear.

"Lex, you okay? You've gone well white" Nathan questioned, as he held a hand to her shoulder, giving it a slight squeeze. "Yeah, I'm good, I don't remember eating this morning" Alexa smiled, as she pushed all the other thoughts to the back of her mind and they walked up to the ordering desk, the small girl behind smiling wide at them.

"Can we please get a white Moon Walker milkshake, a Strawberry and Cream milkshake and a side of toast and toasted bagels" Ben smiled, as Alexa raised her eyebrows at Ben, Ben shrugging his shoulders.

"I know back in Cobham you used to go insane over them Moonwalker milkshakes and when they stopped doing them you moaned like hell" Ben laughed, as Alexa nodded her head smiling at the memory briefly, Ben always remembered everything, he never forgot and if he did, there was always some kind of gift to make up for it.

"You're a good one Chilly" Alexa smiled and she hugged into his side, letting his arms wrap around her. "Anything for you Lex" Ben smiled, as he kissed the top of her forehead, and she knew she could feel Nathan's eyes on them.
