"I'm always happy to see you but why are you here Lex?" Tony questioned; Alexa's dad, as Alexa walked into the lounge area, her eyes instantly going to the Mason shrine on the fireplace, she worked timeless amounts to try and earn a place on the fireplace, but she knew deep down, she could never compete with a potential future captain of England.

"I just missed home" Alexa whispered, as her finger tips danced along the fireplace, and she felt her fathers presence shift behind her.

"You know I've always been proud of you Lex" Tony stated from behind her, and it took every inch of her to not roll her eyes at he fathers statement. It never felt like her parents were proud of her, they never said it, and they always palmed her off onto everyone else every-time it got slightly hard for them to deal with.

"You've never said that before" Alexa breathed, as she turned to look at her father, who had the gleam in his eyes that he had when he looked at Mason, or Lewis, or even Jaz, but she couldn't remember a time when Tony looked at her that way.

"I realised that, but just because I said it, it never meant I didn't believe it, or feel it" Tony said, as he wrapped his arms around Alexa's shoulder, and held her close for a moment, as Debbie watched on from the lounge doorway, the tears in her eyes as she realised as a mother, she had began to fail her daughter, or let her down to some extent.

"But saying it now doesn't make up for the years that you didn't say it either" Alexa whispered, as she tried her hardest to blink away the tears that were forming in her eyes, and walk away from the arms of her father, despite wanting nothing more than to crawl into them despite everything.

If you had of asked Alexa what she wanted a year ago, let alone six months ago, it would of been to make it to the next day alive, or the ability to feel something. But here she was, after a few months of feeling alive, feeling loved and wanted, to have that taken away from her for believing that she could be happy once again.

"I'll be in my room" Alexa stated, as she walked up the stairway of her familiar family home, the homely smell of baking and the air fresheners that were dotted around reminding her of her childhood, where everything felt so simple, so pure, but she had seen the darker side of life, and she knew how bad things could get in a matter of moments, but also how swiftly life could change and be better, even if it felt like it never could.

"Hey" Jaz called from the bedroom door, as Alexa sat on her bed, looking around the room that she used to love and hide in for days, the memories scattered along the walls with her fairy lights, her hiding place once more.

"Hey" Alexa breathed, as Jaz tilted her head, an indication that she was asking if she could come in, as Alexa nodded her head and Jaz sat down next to her.

"Are you okay?" Jaz questioned, as Alexa nodded her head, but the tears rolled down her face either way. "Come here" Jaz breathed, as she pulled her younger sister into her arms, holding her close for a moment. "I don't know if I can do this" Alexa sobbed, as she hid her face into the crook of Jaz's neck, as Jaz played with her hair softly.

"You're stronger than you think" Jaz whispered as she placed her head on top of Alexa's and just held her close for a moment longer, it wasn't often that Alexa let life get in the way of her smiling or living, but it was clear to anyone that she was broken, she was hurt.

"I have something to tell you, but you have to promise me that you won't tell anyone, that it doesn't leave this room" Alexa stated, as she pulled her face away from Jaz's neck, wiping her eyes and looking at her sister. Once upon a time, Jaz was all she ever wanted to be, a role model, someone who had their life together.

"I promise" Jaz smiled, as she tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear, looking at her sister as Alexa shook her head.

"I'm serious Jaz, I don't want anyone knowing" Alexa warned, as Jaz nodded her head, placing her hands on her thighs. "I won't tell anyone" Jaz smiled, as Alexa took a deep breath.

"I'm pregnant" Alexa muttered, but as the words left her mouth, she hoped that Jaz hadn't actually heard them, and that it wasn't true, but as Alexa looked at the desk next to her bed, the test stood against a glass of water, the two red lines as bright as when she took the test in the morning, and she knew that it was all true.

"That's amazing though, isn't it?" Jaz beamed, but when she saw the look on her sisters face, she knew that she may be the only person who was happy with the news.

"It's Jacks right?" Jaz questioned, as she watched her sister nod her head, but before she could say anything else the ringing of Alexa's phone cut her off.

"It's Gareth" Alexa whispered, as she looked down and watched his name flash on her phone screen. "Answer it then" Jaz chuckled, as Alexa clicked the green button and held the phone to her ear.

"Hello?" Alexa stated, as she heard Gareths voice come down the phone, it was never loud, or annoying, it was somewhat soothing in this modern world.

"You still want to me to attend next week?" Alexa questioned, as she heard Gareth chuckle. "As part of the media team?" Alexa questioned again, much to Gareths amusement. "Erm, if I can think about it and get back to you by the end of the day that would be great" Alexa smiled, as she said her goodbyes and hung up the phone.

"You're going, end of" Jaz smiled, as Alexa rolled her eyes. "And that's an order" Jaz chuckled.
