the sound of her music playing in her ears really made her feel unprepared. only a few days till the competition and she felt like utter shit. like, she felt terrible, words could not describe it properly because of it. it made her miserable and she couldn't tell if she was cold or stressed. both could indefinitely be happening at the same time. it was nerve wrecking having to even think about for too long. the stress was basically oozing all over and driving her mad.
"you look like a petrified chihuahua." feeling one of her airpods get pulled out of her ear, she snapped her head around to see a cheeky smile on the other's face. "you— why are you even here?" she sighed and grabbed her airpod back eagerly. the boy shrugged and spun around the girl. "well, i just wanted to let you know now but, hockey practice is approaching so you kinda sorta maybe, have like 4 more minutes until the team comes in" the black haired whistled.
combing his hair back with a hand softly, he couldn't help but be a bit arrogant. it was just who he was. "yeonjun sunbae, this is why your sister is the favourite" she deadpanned making his expression darken in sadness. "don't even mention it." he huffed out and turned his head. "me and yeonseo are gonna be out of town for a bit because of funny choi business so we'll have to miss your competition. yeonseo wanted to let you know but she's a stupid idiot who got caught up in school work." he smiled knowing that the girl would never hear this from either of them.
chuckling with a small smile, she nodded and made her way back to the wall. "i'll take my leave first, the last time i headed out too late i got bombarded with your thirsty teammates." placing on her skate guards, she bowed slightly and made her way to the bench to put on her shoes and head off.

humming, she swung her legs off between the railing of the small bridge passover over the stream ecosystem kept on campus. it was managed by the many science majors watching over it. it was fascinating with what the budget of the school went to.
"oh, cathy?" she felt her body tense up as she awkwardly turned her head. "ah, sora, how are you?" she closed her eyes and pretended like if she couldn't see her that this wasn't happening. "it's been awhile, you left the dorm all of a sudden, and the times you do appear, it's late at night and you end up leaving immediately." well to be fair, she would only show up when sora was out at lessons and would frequently sneak into sora's room to check her calendar for classes that week.
"uhm, i've just been preoccupied with figure skating and projects." she scratched at her cheek and peered her eyes over to see where the girl was stood. "ah, that makes sense i guess. uhm." the girl seemed to rock back and forth on her heel before shouldering her bag further on his shoulder. "i'll see you, later, i guess." the girl walked away. as soon as she was far enough away, she let out a sigh and hung her head. holding the bars of the bridge, she leaned back and stared at the grey sky.
"i'm gonna cry." she grinned with a sad smile. it looked like it was going to rain any time soon. digging around in the bag beside her, she sighed and continued to look defeated. she forgot to bring an umbrella. this stupid idiot. a single droplet fell on her head. and it was starting. only a bit of light rain. which turned into pouring. standing up, she held her bag tightly to her body and just stood there. the rain causing her hair to drip flat.
then it stopped, well, not necessarily. looking up, a black umbrella appeared there, turning, she smiled lightly and grabbed the umbrella. "you really know how to get to me when i need you." she laughed as he only got closer to get under the umbrella. "you were just standing in the rain, you could've gotten sick right before your competition." stuffing his jacket around her shoulders, she couldn't help but laugh and adjust the jacket onto her.
"so that means you saw me and didn't try to help me? what a boyfriend you are." rolling her eyes, she rested her head on his chest. "well i'm here now so stop whining." he chuckled, interlocking their fingers and cringing at how cold her hand was.
"i'll take you to class." "i have an hour till my next class." "i'll take you to class."

spinning around on the ice, she stared eagerly at her phone as she skated around purely with her legs. as if her body was dissociated as she moved. smiling as she watched the recent videos of park sunghoon's programs, she clasped her hands around her phone and wished him good luck for his free program. she was so uncontrollably excited that it was hard to handle.
twirling her body to follow her steps, she leapt and landed her triples well enough to be satisfied. "cathy!" the voice called making her twist around unstably. "oh, keiji" she waved with a sweet smile, watching him enter the ice, he slumped slightly and hung his head. "i'm so tired, hiromi and me have no time to practice or hangout with her helicopter brother is on her back every minute." he stomped his foot in annoyance and frowned.
"don't worry, you guys definitely will have time very soon. since the seasons around the corner he has to let her practice." she formed a fist of encouragement and smiled brightly. her words were a bit skeptical but it made sense. since the season is coming as a storm it meant that they would have to spend more time practicing and preparing for nationals and internationals.
"i sure hope so, its killing me having to pretend im holding hiromi when she's not around." he shook his head and skated around in a circle. she laughed and skated along the sides in a side to side motion. stuffing her phone in her pocket, she prepped her jump and pulled tightly into a triple toe loop and landed with a graceful skid across the ice surface. it leaving a thin perfect curve on the ground. "wahh, cathy's getting good these days, you could outclass bella." he gasped making her blush.
"ahhh stop it, bellas like a prodigy, i could never." stretching out her arms, she could hear the joints pop as they straighten. "lets go to the coin karaoke, we can invite some of the others or someone else if you'd like." he offered lightly, making sure to be careful with his words. she smiled and shook her head. "if you can beat me in racing around the rink." she raised a questioning eyebrow.
blinking, he rolled his eyes and started at the wall facing the doors and benches. skating beside him, she whispered a quiet "3.. 2.. 1.. go!" and skated off beside each other, focused on beating one another.
