"welcome back sister." smiling as she walked into the locker rooms, her other teammates smiled sweetly at her return. it was like he was the shot caller in the team, their awaiting expressions were suspenseful. "you guys weren't slacking while i was gone right? yeonjun is team captain, not me." smirking, their sheepish smiles told her a story to understand. "what do we reckon we do sister?"
her brother smiled, wrapping an arm around her. "how does.. 50 laps around the rink inside and outside the barrier sound?"

hearing their groans form in complete sync, she clapped her hands signaling for them to file out of the locker rooms. turning to her brother, she hugged him close as if the world was about to end. "now, get out there captain, i have to make sure no one moved my shit like last time i was out." narrowing her eyes into a glare, she watched him chuckle.

"aye aye, probably just gonna run drills for now until coach gets here." leaving the locker room, her smile slowly faded into a more resting face. taking out her phone, her lock screen lit up as she stared at the empty notification center.

usually she would get messages from cathy telling her to have a good practice and to not hurt herself. but that past may be long gone if she truly meant what she meant. momentary interactions was the last she was going to get unless she confronted her straight up.

checking her locker, she snorted at the assortment of flowers left. digging behind them to grab her things, she noticed a note behind all of them. a weak smile appeared on her face as she got out her gear for practice. it was going to be a long day if she had to manage slackers again.

...

"you seem in a good mood," stretching out in the rink, she blinked as she turned to the voice. feeling the corners of her lips quirk up, she skated over to him with a raised eyebrow. "wouldn't you like to know choi." rolling her eyes, she skated backwards with her tongue sticking out.

skating extremely carefully on the heel of her blades as she started on her step sequence. her constant jumps and spins making her head spin doing so. it still not numbing to her as much given the new choreographing that had to be done for this all.

ascending into a few camel spins before closing into a tight spin back to him. "i was watching videos of some spins and such earlier with coach and i decided that me being an idiot, i was gonna do a whole new set of choreography." it was evident even that she had been practicing. her clothes were drenched in sweat that was starting to harden under the cold temperatures of the rink.

"anything new with you? you have to start on your routine soon since we have a local competition and what not." stretching back into a layback spin, he shrugged following her steps in a mirrored way. "i was gonna attempt triples but it's been awhile since i've tried anything.. other than the toe loop that other time." scratching his neck awkwardly as he skated backwards from his spin.

snickering, she held out both of her hands as she looked at him with an awaiting expression. hesitantly, he took her hands as she dragged him with her, letting go of one of his hands as they skated alongside each other. her fast pace becoming difficult to keep up with. letting go of their hands she jumped into a double lutz, skating backwards speedily to watch him from afar.

gulping, he had no idea how much of his muscle memory he could rely on at this point. flipping on his skates, he turned into a similar lutz, only rotating once more before stumbling and falling. sliding against the ice like his entire body was on a blade. instead of it being graceful it only gave him rug burns.

"so you're a dramatic little bitch? come on you got this. the burns will only get better if you stand up." clapping her hands together, she bent down to grab his hand and pulled him back up. holding his arm he winced. the burns feeling like little mini scratches, maybe he shouldn't have worn this shirt for this.
