Kaleah's POV...

"Anna, I think I'm in big trouble, tonight." I blurted out into the phone as soon as she said hello.

"Why do you say that, Leah? Please don't tell me you slipped up and said something to fine ass, Nico, that you shouldn't have back at the office."

"No, it's nothing like that."

"Then what are you worried about?"

"He asked me to attend a charity event with him tonight, and I agreed."

"And what's the problem with that?" she asked in an excited voice.

"You said it yourself that whenever I think about him, the look in my eyes changes. What if that happens while I'm with him tonight, and we see it?" I asked after placing the phone on speaker phone and leaning my head back against the headrest in my burgundy Toyota Camry.

"If you don't make eye contact with him, you should be fine, Leah. Besides, he'll probably be too busy talking to those boring-ass people at the event to even notice."

"I hope you're right," I replied, feeling a little relieved with her last statement.

"The bigger problem you have to worry about is finding something to wear in your closet that is suitable to wear to the event."

"He gave me the company card and told me to go out and buy a dress to wear tonight..." I was saying to Anna when she blurts out, "bitch, how did you get so lucky? Meet me at Salento."

"Anna, you do know that Salento's is the most expensive dress boutique in São Paulo, Brazil?" I asked her.

"Yeah, I know, that's why I suggested it. It's not like he can't afford it, Leah."

"I'm not meeting you there," I replied.

I was about to end the call until I heard her say, "you can't show up at a charity event with Nico dressed in a plain everyday dress. Why do you think that he told you to buy a dress on the company card?"

"Alright, I'll meet you there, Anna, but I won't be buying anything that cost more than five hundred dollars."

"Deal," she replied too quickly, then ended the call. I sat in my car wondering if I had made the right decision in calling Anna until I heard a knock on the passenger side window.

"Is everything alright, Ms. Dyson? Fine ass, Mr. Hwang asked, leaning his upper body into the window after I let it down. My eyes traveled from his eyes to his luscious lips, then down towards his chest that was being concealed underneath his half button-down shirt. "Ms. Dyson, are you alright?" I hear him ask again in a slightly louder voice.

"Umm, yeah," I replied, averting my eyes from his intense gaze. "I was just sitting here thinking about where I should get a dress from for tonight's event." I lied.

"May I make a suggestion?" He asked.

"Sure, since it'll be your money that I'll be spending," I replied, looking everywhere but at him.
