Nico's POV..."Bro, why are you acting all nervous and shit?" Ewan asked me after I changed my shirt for the fourth time tonight.
"What are you talking about? I'm acting like I normally act."
"Do you normally change clothes as much as women do? I get that Kaleah is fine ass fuck, but that's enough changing clothes for goodness' sake."
"Ewan, He's acting like has never been on a date before." Jeremy snickers at the same time, grabbing the navy-blue shirt out of my hand.
"I just want to look my best on our first date," I replied, snatching the shirt out of Jeremy's hand, then walked into the bathroom.
"At the rate you're going, it'll be too late for the two of you to go out to eat," Jeremy says, peeking his head into the bathroom.
"It's only six-thirty, Jeremy. I told Kaleah I'll be by her house at seven-thirty to pick her up."
"It's been a long time since you've been on a date with a woman bro, do you need me to give you a pep talk on what to say to Kaleah," Ewan asked from the other side of the door.
"I doubt that it's been that long."
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't your last relationship with Soyun, and didn't that end over two years ago?"
"You're right about both, Ewan."
"So I'm asking you again, do I need to go over what to say to a woman on a first date?"
"Nah, I got this on lock. What you need to be focusing all of your energy on is Ivy and keeping her satisfied."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Ewan yelled through the cracked door.
"It means if you paid more attention to Ivy, she wouldn't have time to focus on another woman trying to steal you away from her, little brother."
"Nico, you damn well, no matter what I do, Ivy is still gonna act that way."
"Well, I'm warning you ahead of time the next time Ivy opens up her rude mouth to insult Kaleah, I won't think twice about sparing her feelings." I walked out of the bathroom and stared directly at Ewan waiting on his response.
"You won't have to worry about her doing anything like that again."
"Are you going to break up with her?" Jeremy asked him.
"Nah, I'm just planning on having a face-to-face talk with Ivy about her action at mom's party when she comes back from visiting her grandparents in a few days."
"I hope that she'll take heed to whatever you're going to say to her..." I was saying when my cell phone began to ring. "Hello, dad," I greet after pressing the speakerphone button.
"Are you on your date with Kaleah yet?" He asked me, while at the same time mom yelled in the background, "please tell me he's not."
"Not yet, but I will be in about thirty-five minutes."
"Your mom told me to ask you if you need any pointers on what to say to Kaleah tonight?"
