Phoenix's pov
It's the day of prom. Alice and rosalie are insisting on helping me get ready. Rosalie smiles "immortality suits you" I smile "thank you" alice says "you didn't move or scream like all of us did....why?" "I didn't want them to be guilty hearing my pain. Emmett is guilty about it enough. I didn't want him to hurt and blame himself more" I say. Rosalie notes "you really do love them huh?" I nod with a smile. Alice finished my hair.

I grin "thank you" and rosalie comes back and says "your dress...I picked it and Alice saw that the boys will go crazy. I hope you like it as well" unzipping it and I smile "I love it" standing and I put it on.

A knock sounds at the door and Alice smiles and opens it. It's the boys. Alice hands Jasper a box and emmett sets two in front of me. I open the larger one to see a choker. It's beautiful. I look to emmett and he chuckles "it's real. It actually belonged to a princess and now I want you to wear it" I smile and he takes it "can I?" I nod and he puts it on me as jasper opens the box taking out the shoes and he puts them on and straps them onto me.

Jasper kisses my shin before standing and handing me a smaller box. I open it and see a pair of beautiful earrings. I pull jasper down for a kiss and say "thank you" and do the same to emmett. I put them on.

They take my hands and I stand and their eyes take me in and darken. Jasper says "ready?" I nod. I sigh seeing my car isn't here. It's totaled and fixing it would cost way too much. It was the last thing I had from my father. And it's gone. We get into the car and drive to the prom. Eyes immediately draw to me and I ignore it as always. I hear Jessica "leave it to her to wear fake jewels" funny.

I can feel the mass amount of lust directed at me and my mates. Angela scolds "Jessica you shouldn't say things like that!" "What? It's true! And isn't polygamy illegal?" She asks. Her words put a damper on my mood. I may never be legally able to marry them. They gently squeeze my hand "don't worry about that Darlin. Let's just have fun" jasper says softly. I nod. And we do.

We mingle with the family and Bella who looks just adorable boot and all. My mates and I do dance a bit as well. Jessica comes over "you look trashy" "and you look like you picked that dress from the dumpster or the Salvation Army" I roll my eyes. She asks "rhinestones?" I chuckle "just the ones on my feet. Everything else is real. Though I doubt you'll be able to tell the difference considering you're as fake as can be"

She replies "that's doubtful that they're real" emmett speaks "they're real. After all were the ones who got her the jewelry. If you must know the choker belonged to a princess some time ago that's distant family. Now if you'll excuse us" and he takes us away. He hands me contacts "here the gold is showing a bit" I nod and they cover me as I put them in. Jessica's words from earlier are still bothering me a bit.

Unless a polygamous marriage becomes legal....I'll never be able to marry and become a hale or a cullen in name. It makes me sad. Not that I want to marry now. I have a lot to figure out now. How my powers work. Exactly what they are, and how I can use them, graduate, and figure out exactly who I want to be now as a vampire. "Hey" jasper snaps me out of my thoughts. "What?" Emmett asks "did you have a vision or something? You were spaced out for a bit" I shake my head "no. No. Everything is fine I was just thinking"

Jasper asks "you okay Darlin?" I send him a smile "perfect" Mike comes over "so uh...we got off on the wrong foot" I point out "you called me a whore. I wouldn't exactly call that the wrong foot." "Yeah...I was just wondering if you'd like to dance with me" he says. I fight the urge to laugh. Really. "No." I hear his thoughts damn the things I would do to her she's so fucking hot

Ew. "What? Why?" He asks. I say "first of all...I don't like you. That and you called me a whore and have still yet to apologize. Not only that but you have a date bug her and leave me alone" "o-oh okay" and he leaves. Soon it's time for elections. And weirdly enough I win prom queen. I never entered for it. Emmett says "we wanted to do something nice for you since...everything's been rough for you for a while" I smile and kiss them and go up there. I'm crowned and sashed and given flowers and I say "shout out to Rosalie and Alice for putting this look together and shout out to jasper and emmett because they're gonna be taking it off" emmett whistles my way and jasper chuckles. And I walk off the stage not caring about who wins king and the stupid dance. I go back to my dates and jasper says "you got one thing right....we will be takin this off darlin" I smirk "good"
