Phoenix's pov
It's been a week since my birthday. We didn't do much, though they insisted on getting me a cake. We all sat on the beach and even went in the water and just hung out like we usually do. We're home now. The house is empty and it looks like they just...left. Weird. Why wouldn't they call? I find a note "guys" I announce and I read "dear jasper, emmett, and Phoenix. Due to an incident with Bella's blood on her birthday and her getting hurt we thought it best to leave town. We won't be coming back. Edward thinks it best to be this way. We're in denali. Do come and join us again

I shake my head "I have to see Bella" my arm is grabbed "it's best that you don't and we just go" emmett says. I jerk back "go?" "Yeah...go...to be with our kind. Our coven" jasper says. I shake my head "Bella is here, my uncle Charlie is here. My home is here. I'm not leaving." "Darlin you're one of us. Where they go we go" jasper says.

I shake my head "so you're not allowed to make a choice for yourself then? You just obey his wishes because we're all vampires" "they're our family" emmett says. I ask "then what am i?" "Our everything" they echo. "I want to stay and you're not willing to do that because your family is gone. Where does that leave us then? If you want to leave and never come back?" I sigh. "It doesn't have to be this way. You can come with us. We can visit and you can see Bella" emmett says.

I shake my head "I'm not abandoning her like Edward did. When I had nothing. Absolutely nothing. I had her. And now that she needs me you want me to leave and just visit? How is that right?" Jasper uses his power and I glare blocking him out "stop trying to make me comply to your wishes. I am not a fucking puppet. You want to leave. And I want to stay. Go. There's nothing else to talk about. Just go. Leave like you promised you wouldn't." Their eyes soften "they're our family" they excuse again.

"and I'm not?" I ask hurting. "Thats not what we meant" emmett says. I shake my head "I'm family but not important enough to stay for? I'm family but they're more important? Is that it? We're supposed to be mates. And spend forever together right? Isn't that what you promised to me? Yeah well I guess that means nothing and always have." "Darlin" jasper says and I shake my head "go. You made your choice. Own up to it and leave. Funny thing is...it's not me. I'm never anyones choice but I thought it was different with you. I never thought you'd leave too. I learned my lesson. So go and don't ever come back. I won't be waiting for you if you do. It's going to hurt but I'll move on with my life. Find two men that actually deserve and love me. Find people who'll choose me over everything because all the lies you've told me would be true from them"

I'm hugged "get off of me" I huff and they don't "we're staying. We're not going anywhere." Jasper speaks. I move away "you can't just choose to stay because of jealousy" "we're choosing to stay because we love you and don't want to sacrifice the love we made because Edward decided to have the family leave." Emmett says softly. I hug them and we unpack and I go to Bella's. Charlie hugs me tightly "maybe you can get her out" I go into her room and sit beside her she mutters "he left" "I know Bella" I mutter hugging her and she cries.

I tilt her head up "you can't live like this Bella. You have to hold your head up high and live your life. I know it hurts. But you can't let him make you like this. You deserve better. You deserve more. Okay?" She nods "I love him" I nod "I know and sometimes...it's not enough. If he sees how he hurt you...and actually feels remorse he'll be back" she nods "I can't do this without you" "and you don't have to" I reply. I add "just be strong like I know you can be Bella." She nods "I'm happy you're back home. Did jasper and emmett leave after the family when you saw that they're gone?" Worry in her eyes. I shake my head "we're staying" she smiles "I'm happy you're happy. And have people who will actually put you first" I smile "thank you" she hands me a ring "happy birthday...thank you for my gift" I smile "you're welcome...thank you Bella" she says "it's made from a bolt from your car. So you can always have a piece of it with you" I hug her tightly "thank you" I tell her "do hang out with friends and live Bella. I have to go" standing and she nods "promise" I send her a smile and leave and Charlie asks "well?" "She's going to be okay charlie. Gave her a little pep talk. She's going to be okay" I say gently. He hugs me "thank you...for always being there for her" "she's my sister of course I'll be here for her" I reply. And say "well I have to feed my boyfriends before they burn the house down" he chuckles "bring them for dinner one day. I'd like to hear about the adventures" "will do. This week good for you?" I ask and he nods "Thursday?" I nod and leave. The house is empty. My heart sinks. They left. They're really gone. A hand grabs mine and I jump and it's jasper "hey it's alright Darlin. It's me. I felt your sadness. Darlin we wouldn't just leave you okay? We said we're not goin anywhere. And we're tellin the truth. We can never leave you." I hug him to me "I love you" "I love you Darlin. We're not going anywhere okay?" I nod and we kiss softly.
