MAIA'S POV
The director of 'The Fosters' wants me to go visit some foster homes today to get more of a feel. Cierra and I are going out to a fosters home about half an hour from the set. I feel so bad for all these kids who don't get adopted and feel like they aren't worth nothing but they are. People just don't understand their situation and I've learned a lot from the character I play in the show.
Cierra and I arrive at the foster home and knock on the door.
"Oh hello you must be Maia and Cierra right?" The lady who must take care of them said opening the door and letting us in
"Yes and you must be Nina right?" Cierra closes the door.
"Yes this foster home is for very young girls" Nina tells us
"Do you mind if we talk to them?" I asked
"No I'll call them down" Nina says
I hope I don't end up crying like always.
Some girls came down they were about 4-8 maybe?
"Girls these ladies are Maia and Cierra they will be talking to you please don't be rude understood?" Nina said
"Hi I'm Maia how are you guys doing" I sat down with them
"I'm Cierra" Cierra started talking to a few girls who went with her
"Hi Maia I'm Emily" the little girl said
"Hi Emily how's your day been" I said smiling
"Boring" she giggled
"I think there's one more girl upstairs" Nina pointed
"I'll go" I stood back up and went upstairs
I heard crying so I followed the sound. I sound way coming from a room. I slowly opened the door and found a girl crying by her window.
"What's wrong? Come here" I said walking towards her as her turns around
"Riley? Riley! Remember me?" I said embracing her
"Mack? Why are you here" the little girl wiped her tears away
"I came to visit your home and I didn't know you lived her?" I asked still carrying her
"Well my mommy and daddy died so they put me here and I don't like it!" She began to cry again
"Why not Riley?" I asked
"No one wants me" she cried
"Riley it's okay you will find a mom and dad soon promise okay" I said "so how old are you"
"I'm four I turn five in May" she said
"Well it's towards the end of March so it's getting close! What do you want for your birthday" I asked
"I... I want to find a family for my birthday" this just made me release a tear. Oh the little girl just wants a damn family!!
"Can I ask you something?" She asked
"Yes of course" I said
"You talk differently from teen beach movie are you Australian?" She asked
"Yup I just played a character in that movie my real name is Maia and Brady's name is Ross" I smiled
"Oooo is he your boyfriend" she laughed
"He is!" I laughed with her
"Riley come on there's someone I want you to meet" I said
"Okay" she held my hand and walked down with me
"Oh who's this?" Cierra smiled
"Hi I'm Riley" she said to Cierra
"Hi Riley I'm Cierra" we all sat in a circle and started to talk.
"Okay I've got to ask a question to you Maia. I've watched teen beach movie probably a hundred times because of Riley so are you american?" Danielle asked
"I'm Australian" I giggled
"And she's with Ross!" Riley blurted
"Awww" they said
"You guys are so cute!" Nayeli said
"Cieeeeerraa!! We've heard you might be with Rocky is that true" they girls all said
They are the funniest group of girls ever.
"Well you heard right I'm with Rocky!" Cierra rose her eye brows
"Girls we've got to go we will visit you guys next time okay!" I said
"Wait Maia" Riley hugged me
"Hug time!" Cierra said
Once we left, the whole ride I kept thinking about those girls. These girls are much more than just orphans.
We went back to the studio and filmed scenes. After we finished Cierra came to me.
"What's wrong?" She asked hugging me
"I don't know I need to go talk to Ross I'll talk to you later okay" I drive fast and arrived home. Ross should be here from rehearsal. I checked and his car was parked in the garage.
I set my things down and looked for Ross.
"Ross I'm home!" I yelled as Sadie jumped on me
"Hey Sadie" I picked her up
"Baby I'm over here in the kitchen" I followed Sadie into the kitchen
"You've made me food!" I kissed Ross on his lips.
He picked me up and set me on the kitchen island.
"How was work?" I asked holding my waist.
"Well that's what I wanted to talk to you about" I said
"Wait" he kissed me and put is arms around my waist. I grabbed his hair and kissed him gently. I wrapped my legs around him. This became a make out session.
"Ross we're in the kitchen!" I said as her carried me to the chair.
"So here's your plate. Now let's eat and you can talk about work" he sat down
I ate the broccoli and began to talk.
"Well we went to this foster home today and I saw Riley.. I spoke to her and she said her parents died and all she wants for her birthday is a family" I said
"Well I hope she finds a family soon" Ross said drinking his water.
"Ross I don't know about you but I.. I want to adopt her" I said looking down at my plate.
