ROSS'S POV
"Ross I don't know about you but I.. I want to adopt her" Maia said looking down at her plate.
I don't know how to feel about this. I know that we will eventually have a child after we are married but one this quick. We don't even have the time, we are always working. Why does she want to to adopt out of no where? I stay quiet for a moment.
"Look Maia baby you know I love you so much but can I ask why you want to adopt this quickly with a busy life we have. We are young let's live a bit and enjoy the time we have. And what are the people going to say when you have this kid following you around at award shows?" I say
"Ross I know what you mean but I really want to adopt this kid. There's just something about this little girl. I don't care what people say I'm saving this kid and the Fosters is a show of these types of kids so it would make sense to adopting. Can we at least just get to know her?" She asked
"Maia this is a huge thing we are going to have to speak to my family and yours about this okay and if they agree then I'll take a chance just because I love you" I smiled
"Aww thank you I love you too" she finished her plate and cleaned things up.
We went upstairs to relax and play with Sadie. I still kept thinking about the whole adoption thing. It kind of freaked me out. What if I'm not a good father to her? Or if she doesn't end up liking me? I know Maia was more mature with this situation and I get why she wants Riley as a daughter.
I laid down on the bed with my head down.
"Need a massage there?" Maia asked
"I sure do" I said. Maia got on my back and started massaging my back. Her hands were magical. Maia massages my neck and went up to my head. I felt her lean down and she planted a kiss behind my ear. I jumped for a second and quickly turned around catching her. I hate this teasing.
"Will you quit teasing me" I laughed. Maia goes on top on me and laughs.
"Not really" she joked
"Baby you serious give me feels down here and it's not good okay so unless you want me to get you back stop please" I said as she leaned down to peck my lips
"Fine I'll try" we cuddles next to me
"So tomorrow lets talk to my parents and you can speak to your parents when you can" I mentioned
"Okay sounds good" she smiles
"You know what I noticed" I said starring at the ceiling
"What?" She says
"We haven't gone on a date in a long time" I realize I have to do something for Maia.
"I know we should go out on Saturday do you have any that day?" She asks while I think
"I don't think so we'll work something out. Do you want to go clubbing or what?" I chuckle
"Sure I want to pull all the dance numbers for teen beach" she giggles
"Wow dance moves from the 60s uhm looks like you're going alone" I turn around joking "I'm just kidding you'll be the coolest one there"
The next morning we went to my parents house. It was around 9 am so we bought donuts for everyone.
When we got there everyone was in the living room together.
"Surprise!" We yelled
"Donuts!!!" Riker yelled
"They bought us donuts?!" Rocky said
"Donuts for everyone" Maia smiles
"This is why we love you!" Riker takes the box and sets it on the table and takes the sprinkle covered donut.
"That was mine!" I said
"Too bad" Riker smirked
"Okay we have important news to tell you guys so Mom Dad guys get over to the family room" we said
"What is it you want to tell us?" My dad sat down next to me and Maia
"Well I was thinking and I kind of want to adopt this little girl at a foster home and I know we both are young but what do you think would be the right choice for both of us?" Maia looked at mom
"Honey Ross is just 19 and you're 21 I know you both are mature enough but is this what you really want? How old is this little girl" Mom told Maia
"She's four almost five we've actually met her before" Maia pointed out
"Aw a little girl would be cute for the family! She could be the flower girl for the wedding aww even cuter what's her name" Rydel said
"Riley" I said
"Her name even starts with an R she could be the new member of the band" Ellington laughs
"Well if I were you guys I would choose...." My mom thinks for a second
