(y/n) - your name

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You know, that was kinda hot you standing up to those assholes." (y/n) whispers almost embarrassed, flushing pink as Billy kissed the back of her neck with a smile.

"Really now? I thought it was cute you telling them off." he snickers and her cheeks really turn a brighter pink as the two walked to the hair salon, Billy's hand never moving from (y/n)'s waist after that whole fiasco.

"Can't believe you heard that..."

"Proves those shits are just so far up their asses they can't tell the difference between no and no." (y/n) snorts lightly, covering her mouth and smiling at Billy.

They arrived at the salon, (y/n) sitting down to get her hair cut while Billy stood outside to smoke. (y/n) wanted her hair a bit short to have it easier to maintain, swearing off at the hairdresser to not perm it or do anything to it. It was a quick half an hour to (y/n) but a long one to Billy as she waited outside in bored, soon walking back into the salon to see (y/n) done with her haircut as she stood up from her chair.

She had her curtain bangs retrimmed and her hair layered up till her shoulders, looking like a dream in her off-shoulder summer dress. "How do I look?" (y/n) asks Billy who breaks from his trance, smiling at her.

"Absolutely gorgeous." he takes in her blush, grabbing her hand in his to pay for the haircut before leaving.

"Billy," he hums, looking down at (y/n). "thank you. For today and for yesterday I mean." she whispers and Billy kisses her forehead.

"Anything for you princess. How about we get some ice cream. There's a really good store by the beach."

"Ok!" Billy chuckles at (y/n)'s enthusiastic response. "Let's drop our stuff home first then get that ice cream!" she drags him to the car and they both get in, quickly driving back him to drop the bags in the living room before walking out of the house after locking it and going down to the docks by the beach. "Oh! I saw this little store yesterday." Billy takes (y/n) to the ice cream store that had a small line by it after. "It's near your work."

"It is. If you're up for it, the day after tomorrow, I can show you all the restaurants and niche stores around here."

"Really!?" (y/n) really was excited to see everything California had to offer, to try all their foods and look at all their stores. "Yes! I would love that!"

"Perfect." Billy grins happily. "It's a date." he smirks as (y/n)'s cheeks heat up but she smiles at him, nodding.

"I can't wait for our date then." she whispers happily, the two of them reaching inside to look at all the ice creams. They both got their favourite flavours and toppings in a cup, walking out to eat it before walking onto the beach. (y/n) chucked her finished cup in the bin, quickly taking off her sandals before running onto the sand. She sighs in bliss at the heat, digging into the sand and being down to feel it.

It felt like it had been way too long since the last time she had been to a beach.

Billy watched in amusement as (y/n) waddled across the burning hot sand, hopping and hissing 'hot' over and over while dodging sea shells to reach the water. "Cute." he whispers as he watched her lift her dress up to her knees, letting the water wash over her feet as she stared out into the open.

(y/n) felt so peaceful, nothing holding her back. She may be young and she was supposed to go to college but now that she was declared dead, she didn't need to do any of those and actually just live life as she wants to.
