(y/n) - your name

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was hot. Way too hot. You could see the steam rising up from the gravel roads and there wasn't a single cloud in the sky. Just an endless sea of blue and the damn sun beating its heat down on the earth. Others would've complained but it was tolerable to someone who used to live on an island continent before moving to a remote and unknown insignificant small town.

Nothing special. Not like there was anything special back home too.

(y/n) wiped her forehead to rid herself of the sweat, pulling on her short sleeve shirt that clung to her slightly. "Fuck, it was a bad idea to wear black tights." she fanned herself before moving to pick up another box of her belongings from her small car and walked into the small house she now owned. There weren't a lot of boxes to fill up the already small house enough to make it seem like it wasn't an empty auction house and that someone actually lives here, but it was still a significant amount that belonged to her personally.

She walked back out to grab a couple more of her belongings, looking over past the road to the house across from hers to hear loud screaming and shouting. It sounded like there was a fight and (y/n) was slightly worried if the people in the house were ok. She jumped when she heard someone harshly open the front door and slam it closed, seeing a blonde guy in a denim blue outfit walk out. He didn't notice (y/n) looking at him but she noticed the dark bruise around his eye forming and she pursed her lips.

Billy growled under his breath, needing something to release his anger as stormed all the way to his car. He felt someone staring at him and he looked up to see some new chick quickly turn away before grabbing another box. He wasn't in the mood to yell at this girl to mind her own fucking business as she walked into her house and he got into his blue Chevrolet Camaro before driving off.

~~~~~~~~
It was finally cool, not too cool that it was freezing but a nice sort of cool breeze that brushed away the morning heat. (y/n) was all done with unpacking her belongings and putting them away, standing in the middle of the house between her kitchen and living room with a solemn and lonely feeling. She looked over at the portrait of her family and she quickly turned away to turn her emotions off.
This was her decision, her choice. This was her fault and she had herself to blame.
(y/n) went to her fridge and opened it, seeing it empty except for a couple of bags of ice, a six-pack of beer and some bottles of vodka. Probably left behind by the previous owners. Also, she really needed to go grocery shopping. She checked the expiry of the beer and saw that they were still good as they were unopened, the same with the vodka.
"Free alcohol... nice..." she grabbed the vodka, not particular about the beer since that was weak, disgusting and tasted like soap. Of course, beer wasn't her favourite. (y/n) walked out of the house, going to sit on the hood of her car to stargaze. Something she wasn't able to do a lot before but now, she could go out every night and enjoy it. "Cheers..." she whispers, raising the vodka up to the sky before opening the cap to take a swig. She winced from the taste but sighs from the heat of the strong alcohol that ran through her body. Before she could take another drink, the sounds of engines revving broke the silence and in came the blue camaro from this morning.
(y/n) quickly jumped down from her car and went into her house to grab the six-pack and a bag of ice before running out. She saw the blonde guy get out of his car and lean against the side, walking over to him as he dropped the cigarette he was smoking to put it out under his foot. She didn't say anything, poking his shoulder which made the guy jump, a furious glare in his eyes but that didn't faze (y/n) as she hands him the bag of ice and the beer before walking away.
Billy was utterly confused, like way over his head confused. He watched this girl, not say a single word to him, hand him some beers and a bag of ice before walking away to grab her vodka from her car and walk back into her house. She didn't say jack shit to him.
"The fuck...?" he looks down at the beer in his hands, not even mad from the free alcohol but he was curious about the bag until he winced from the slight pounding around his eye. "Right..." he gently placed the bag of ice on his eye, sighing from the relief as he locked his car. He walked towards his house but he stopped at the front door, turning around to look at the house just opposite from him across the road. All the lights were off except for one and he saw the girl close her blinds. He shrugs, ignoring this girl and walked into his house.
~~~~~~~~

(y/n) sighs as she opens her eyes, groaning from how bright it was in her room as she reached for her alarm clock. "10:39 am... Not too bad..." she sits up, still feeling exhausted and stretches while yawning before grabbing the half-empty bottle of vodka from her bedside table and walking to the kitchen to stash it back in the fridge. She went to get ready, freshening up and brushing her teeth while she went around to make sure all the doors and windows her locked and covered with their blinds before getting dressed for the day. It was kinda a cool day so she changed into a simple black hoodie and tights plus her combat boots, grabbing her backpack that had all her keys, wallet and whatever she packed just in case. With her hood up and her glasses on, she got out of her house and double-checked it was locked before walking over to her car. She didn't notice the blonde buy also walking out of his house across from her.

Billy stopped as he reached his car, seeing the mute girl from last night get into her car black. If he could even call it a car. It was one of those preposterous two-seater tiny cars. One of those cars with a driver's and passenger's seat only. The girl was wearing all black like some creepy goth girl and he shrugs her off from his mind as she backed onto the road and drove off.

"She's unimportant." Billy mumbled as he got in his car to also drive off, wanting to stay away from the house for as long as he could knowing the little redhead piece of shit was out from the house too at god know where.

~~~~~~~~
"Fucking finally..." (y/n) sighs out in relief as she finds the shopping mall, having asked multiple people on her drive when she got lost or couldn't understand her map during red lights. She parked as close as she could to the mall, getting out to lock it with her backpack on her back before walking towards the mall. As soon as she walked in, she was greeted by a large number of parents with young kids getting last-minute school supplies, teenagers meeting up one last time at the food courts or the movies and little tweens getting in as much arcade time as they could. It was packed because today was the last day of the holidays before schools started up again tomorrow on Monday. "Fuck, I need supplies too..." (y/n) sighs from her forgetfulness.
She was glad the first day of her last year of high school started fresh at the beginning of the week but she was dreading it. Being the talk of the school as the new girl was not something she wanted as soon as she stepped into the school halls. She had enough trouble as it is buying a house for herself when she wasn't even legal age but thankfully the mayor let her get it cause all he cared about was money anyway. What's a town without its money-hungry mayor.
(y/n) walked to get her school supplies first, not needing much except a couple of tearable spiral notebooks, binders and some stencils she thought she would need. She stuffed them into her backpack after paying and headed straight for the grocery store, not realising that a certain blonde was also at the mall heading for the grocery store too. (y/n) walked in, grabbing a trolley and leaned against the handle while pushing it up and down the aisles while grabbing whatever she thought she needed. She couldn't spend too much. Not like she didn't have enough money, which she did. She saved up quite a lot but she didn't want to spend it like crazy. Only the necessities. She walked passed the fridges after getting some meat, milk and other things, going straight for the alcohol section to stock up.
