More than I thought I did

"Tommy!" Ray called out excitedly, walking over to her boyfriend who had just entered the cubby. "Hi!" She grinned at the man, immediately putting her hands around his neck and leaning in to kiss him. 

Her brows furrowed in confusion when he avoided the kiss and simply hugged her. Ignoring the pang in her heart, she smiled at him. "Hi, Ray."

"What happened to trying to match my energy?" She asked, giggling, trying not to show her hurt.

"I gave up," He replied nonchalantly, shrugging past Ray Mond, further into the cubby. 

Ray frowned at his words but stayed planted where she stood. Not moving, trying not to let her family see her hurt expression, she walked straight into Vinny's apartment. What happened to him? Did I do something? She thought to herself as she went to her room.

She decided that she'd give him a little time and space because that's what it seemed like he wanted. She stayed in her apartment for a little while, hoping that when she'd go out, he would be in a slightly better mood.

When she exited Vinny's apartment, her eyes searched around for the man she called boyfriend. She smiled softly seeing him laughing around with the boys. Thinking that he was now in a better mood, she approached the group again.

"Anyone wanna hang? I'm bored." She asked the boys, hoping he'd get the hint. 

"What do you wanna do?" She turned to Randy and shrugged. "Not sure, whatever works, to be honest. I think I wanna chill for a while." Randy nodded in response. "Maybe we can finally get cube gang plus Ramee heist. Hee." He giggled at his own suggestion, making others laugh as well.

"I'll text April." She mumbled softly as she took out her phone. She was texting April but her whole focus was on Tommy and how he had suddenly gotten quiet after her arrival.

The whole of cube gang— Randy, Ray, April and Taco— along with honorary member Curtis and their plus, Ramee decided on doing the Vault since Ramee had gotten that.

Waiting for April to arrive at the cubby, they were all conversing softly. Everyone had by now noticed the tension between Tommy and Ray and were confused as to what happened. Especially considering they were okay merely last night.

"Don't know 'bout me, I'm Tommy T," Came April's booming, an attempt of a deep voice as she entered the cubby.

Tommy chuckled at the red head. "Hey, April. It's ya boy Tommy." April laughed, joining the group. "Hey gorl!" She immediately engulfed Ray Mond in a hug and frowned when she felt Ray's energy so low.

"You good?" She mumbled, pulling back and eyeing Ray Mond for any possible injuries. Ray Mond dismissed her with a small chuckle. "I'm good, April." April nodded warily, taking the hint that Ray didn't want to talk about it.

"Raymundo," She turned to Randy who had called out to her. "you got thermite?" Ray frowned before smiling sheepishly. "No.." She mumbled, glancing at Flippy.

"How are you a thermite pusher if you never have thermite, bruh?" She chuckled at Randy's comment. "I sold it all already, I need more. Blame him." She pointed at Flippy who gasped in a fake hurt tone. "How could you?" Ray giggled softly.

"I got him materials last week but I have no idea where it all went cause I didn't get my stuff." She shrugged nonchalantly, biting her lip to keep away her mischievous smile.

"Check the thing, Ray." Came Vinny's voice as he entered the cubby. Not even waiting a moment more, he got in his car and drove off. Ray chuckled and took out her phone.

"Never mind that. I have thermite." She announced, looking up at the others.

"How does that work?" Taco asked, laughing.
