My eyes fluttered opened as a groan went passed my lips. The light was worsening the pain I was feeling from the left side of my head. I closed my eyes again. Everything black again. I steadied my breath and focused as I had been trained to do in the case of waking up after a black out.

First, possibles injuries. The left side of my head was throbbing as well as my right tight. Right. I remembered the Eskrima stick and the poison. It would explain the fool taste I had in the back of my throat and the dizziness.

Next step, setting. I was on a sitting position. Surely a metal chair. I tried to move my fingers then my hands. They were cuffed behind the backrest of the chair. I tried to move my feet. Tied up too. Great ... I opened one eye and was welcome with brightness. At least I wasn't blindfold. After my first eye was used to the light, I opened the second.

Looking down at myself, I was still in my rank X costume but obviously they had taken every weapons and tools I had on me. A tight bandage was wrapped around the wound of my tight.

I finally looked around me. A chair in the middle of a cell. One wall was, in fact, carved stone. The rest were metals bars. Behind I could see afar a table and screens. On the side, there were two empty cells like mine and equipments. Not a soul except for me – even thought I wasn't sure to own one any more.

"So, this is the famous Batcave" I muttered under my breath. My throat was dry. "I would have expected something bigger."

After hearing so much about it through Talia's talking, I surely was disappointed. After all, Talia had been Bruce Wayne's past lover and she had learned a few secrets along the way. She hadn't been really talkative about that period of her life but she had found important to teach me a few of them, such as the Batcave emplacement for example. She had made many descriptions of this place. I had figured it would be huge but she might have exaggerated. Shame.

Licking my cracked lips, I examined my surrounding, planning an escape plan. In the corner of my eyes I could see a camera directed toward me. When was the last time I had been in this kind of situation? I couldn't remembered.

Then like an electric shock, I realized the implication of me being tied up here. I gulped with difficulty as I tried to keep the panic at bay.

I had failed.

Was it yesterday? Or less? Or more? How long had I been out?

No matter how long, Talia was aware of it by now. I was supposed to update her as soon as the plane was on its way to HQ. A shiver racked my body as my skin remembered the cold feeling of metal bars hitting the back of my knees and tights for punishment. I could almost feel the pain like a ghostly sensation.

Escaping was obviously my main priority but I couldn't come back empty handed. I had to start over again. Everything I had worked for was crumbling in front of my eyes.

"Shit. Shit. Shit." I whispered, my fists pulling around the handcuffed. The sting of metal pressing against my wrists and the clinking sound were infuriating. "Come on, come on, think!" I whisper-shouted to myself.

"Finally awake?"

My head snapped toward the voice. Nightwing was on the other side of the cell, playing with one of his Eskrima stick, pressing again and again a hidden button that pull out a small blade. A tight bandage was wrapped around his shoulder. I remembered the feeling of my blade sinking his his flesh.

"No need for your mask Grayson." I spit. "I guess that by now everyone down there knows everyone secret identity."

He chuckled humourlessly taking his mask off nonetheless. Hiding the blade of his stick once more, he clung the Eskrima stick against the bars.
