I was right. As the time passed, I was able to spot the members of the Bat family patrolling around the main buildings were members of the League were staying or working. Kate told me she hoped her project to end in a few weeks. I guessed that the Bat family was waiting for one of the members of the League to lead them to the Lazarus pit. One unfortunate mistake from one of them. I spent a week watching the Bat family patrolling in order to see their schedules. Who was working when and where.

I was still texting and calling Kate. She had been able to free herself from her duties for a few hours on the last Saturday. She gave me a ride. We went out of Gotham, in the forest. Funnily enough, we rode past an old abandoned wood factory. I knew it wasn't abandoned, and it wasn't a wood factory. We had stopped in the forest to go for a walk. We talked. We laughed. I felt at ease, away from all of the noises of the city.

But I knew that I had to think about the main mission. Kate was just a side mission, a way to get information easily. I had to start the next step of my plan.

I checked that my katana was well strapped on my back. I was standing on a roof of a building, a few blocks away from my target. I glanced at my watch. 1:05 a.m. It was time.

Jumping from roof to roof I finally arrived on the building I was looking for. I took the stairs of the fire exit to go to the ground floor. I opened the front door and as I slipped inside, at exactly 1:12 a.m, a shadow appeared on the roof of the building across the street. Under my hood, I smirked.

I walked into the empty hallway and reached the door of a flat. I entered. I lit up the lights. The flat was just two rooms and a bathroom. The rooms were full of shelves and desks with computers. I looked around. There were so many papers about the League. The walls were covered of maps and papers. One in particular caught my eyes. I took it off the wall, reaping the corners. It was a map of Gotham and the lands around. Small dots were covering important places. I sighed. Sometimes I wondered how Talia had found the members of her League. They were so stupid. No wonder why she asked me to clean after them, or clean them as a matter of fact. I put it on the sink of the bathroom as well as some papers I found with unimportant info.

Then I ran a bath. As the bath was getting filled, I looked around to find two petrol tins. It was a rule of the League. Each place had some petrol in order to burn as quickly as possible important documents in case of problems. I took them to the first room.

I took a lamp that was on a desk and smashed the screens of the computers. The sounds echoed in the room. Taking the broken material, I threw it into the bath. Then I tore the papers off the wall and threw down the shelves. Papers flying everywhere. I put messily the documents in a pile by room then I soaked them in gas. The smell was strong as I spilled the liquid on the floor, stepping back to the bathroom, making sure to not spill it on me. I threw the tins in the room. Some papers had flew on the bathroom floor. I took advantage of it. I took the documents I had left on the sink and mixed them with the ones on the floor.

I took a piece of the black and golden armour out of one of my pockets and put it carefully on the sink. Then I cut the water mains inlet.

I looked around to make sure I hadn't forget anything. I glanced at my watch. 1:21 a.m. I also might have made a bit too much noises. The neighbours might have been awoken. I took a lighter and a paper on the floor. I lit it up before throwing it in the room. I watched as it flew a bit before reaching the floor. The fire started almost instantly. It spread quickly to the two rooms. The warmth and smoke were impressive. I hadn't lit up many fire in my life. I was more a hand to hand combat and explosives kind of person.

I turned my back at the raging fire as I heard the fire alarm ringing. I took one of the knives strapped to my legs and smashed the window of the bathroom.

Thick smoke was already reaching the bathroom when I slipped out of the building. I was already hearing the siren of the firefighter as well as the police coming toward it.

Two steps in the dark alley, smoke escaping from the bathroom's window. A silhouette jumped in front of me. I jumped on his right to avoid a hit.

I recognised him, he was Nightwing. He tried to hit me with one of his Eskrima stick but I stopped it with the blade of my dagger.

"Took you long enough." I said. "I've seen you when I entered the building. What were you doing all this time? Calling your Daddy?"

He sneered as he took a kick in the stomach.

"I thought you were a skilled assassin. But it seems that you're only a stupid arsonist." he replied.

I chuckled humourlessly.

"Oh, I'm sure you and your little family will love my gift." I said before stopping a blow of his Eskrima stick with my hand. I was able to rip it from his grip. He tried to tackle me but taking a step on the side, I avoided him and hit him in the back with his own weapon. He fell on the ground with a groan. I threw his weapon next to his head.

"Well, as much as I have fun right now, I have better things to do."

That being said, I ran to the next building and with a few jumps I reached the roof before disappearing in the night.

A few blocks away, I quickly went down to a dark alley where a grey van was parked. B21 had made his job. I went inside the van. I put on clothes and a wig. When I walked out of the van my assassin costume was hidden by a long brown coat. I tied the wig as a ponytail and I started walking toward the sound of the sirens. Luck was on my side as the rain started pouring. I opened my umbrella. It was even easier to hide my face that way.

When I arrived at the blaze, the firefighters had already extinguished the fire. The police was everywhere. The people who lived in the building had been evacuated and were waiting in pyjamas in the pouring rain. I stopped in the middle of the crowd that the fire at gathered in front of the building. I glanced at the dark always where a few minutes ago I was fighting against Nightwing. James Gordon was talking to Nightwing and Batman. He handed them a plastic bag with the piece of armour. It disappeared quickly in the hands of Batman.

I had done my best. Now I needed to wait. I walked away.

I walked in my flat, letting the coat on the couch I undressed in the bedroom before running a bath. I slipped into the warm water, relaxing my muscles. I needed to prepare myself for the call I was about to make the next morning.

I put my head under the water, drowning the sounds of the city.

Everything was going according to plan.
