The song was finished, and so Venti's eyes met Barbara's eyes. He was quite astonished with her voice, and that she knew the song.

"Your singing truly does live up to your title, but I'm more so surprised you knew the song since it's quite an old tune!"

He knew about me being an idol? Is that the reason he wished to hang out, yet again he never asked me for a signature or didn't bring it up until now...

"Well I do enjoy singing for all types of audiences, so I must know many songs of all types. Why do you know that song since it's 'quite an old tune?'"

"As a bard I prefer to play songs with deep, hidden meanings, and that song was one of many. I've also been to almost every land, so my learning is far from limited."

After Venti finished his sentence, he grabbed Barbara's hand and chuckled.

"I find it quite cute that you're so curious about a drunken bard like me~"

Barbara flushed out of embarrassment and being flustered. I-Is he trying to hit on me? That's when Venti kissed her hand then let go of it. Barbara was looking away and Venti smugly smiled, standing up from the bed.

"Thank you for taking care of me Barbara, think of that as a little payment for your troubles. If you ever need to find me, just remember that I'm a drunken bard"

Barbara looked at him as he began to open the door to the cathedral, she softly smiled, rubbing her hand with her fingers where he kissed it. Perhaps it was just a sign of respect? It's a shame he's leaving, I actually enjoyed sharing our musical interests...That must be it...Oh!

"May the anemo archon bless you!"

Venti nodded but once he got fairly far away he chuckled, after all he himself was the anemo archon. He sighed to himself, feeling embarrassed about being such a burden to Barbara, and looked up at the sky. It was noon perhaps, and he went to the windrise statue as the medicine Barbara gave him wasn't actually useful at all. He knew he would feel bad if he turned down her kindness, so he didn't mention anything about medicine not working on him. Plus, he couldn't exactly tell her that he himself was Barbatos. He sat under the tree and ate an apple he picked on the way, feeling himself get healed a bit. I still feel stupid for kissing her hand, ahhh why did I let my stupid side slip. I don't get where Kaeya gets the confidence to just hit on anyone he sees. I hope I get to play with her once more, her voice was lovely...

It had been a few weeks when Barbara went out to pick some windwheel asters to use as herbs, and she went to the windrise statue where there were many. Venti was sitting in the tree as Barbara came along, he began to play his lyre and she immediately looked up to see Venti sitting there.

"Venti! What are you doing up there, you'll hurt yourself!"

Venti stopped playing and chuckled

"So someone is worried about me, how kind~ Ehe~"

He couldn't help but smirk and Barbara had a slight pink on her cheeks

"Well I am a healer and I am a deaconess of the church so it is only right for me to worry for other people's sake!"

Venti looked at her carefully, noticing small eye bags under her eyes, he spoke out of concern.

"Well what about worrying for yourself? Hmm? You seem to have small eye bags, I can play a melody for you if it'll help you sleep!"

"O-Oh no I'm fine! It's just been a tiring day, but I guess... that would be nice..."

Barbara had mumbled that last part, it was so faint they Venti really couldn't make it out.

"What was that?"

Barbara responded in a bit of screaming tone as her face got redder from embarrassment.

"I said that would be nice!"

She calmed down and felt so guilty for yelling at him.

"I'm so sorry Venti! Please Barbatos forgive me for being so rude, as I'm sure that's not what you want from me!"

Venti almost forgot that he was a human for a second and almost revealed he was Barbatos.

"Barbara, I really don't mind, after all nobody is perfect. Allow me to join you down there!"

Venti jumped down and managed to land perfectly on his feet, he smiled at Barbara and she returned that smile.

"Would you like to sleep here? Or would another place be better? I don't have anything planned, so it's all up to you."

"Well, this spot is quite beautiful...and quite relaxing, so it should be fine here. Plus I don't think many people come here so it's quiet!"

Barbara and Venti sat down under the tree on the grass and he began to strum his lyre. After a few songs Barbara began to silently sleep, he looked over at her and saw her sleeping and her head had fallen on his shoulder. Venti smiled gently and looked at the sky, but also being careful not to wake up Barbara. She fell asleep rather quickly, she must truly be tired...
