The ceremony was beautiful and all the adepti were there, celebrating the special event. They learned who Venti was, a god that was lovesick for a human, especially when him and Barbara danced together. They were both in formal attire with him in a suit and her in a dress that went right past the knees, looking gorgeous together. Venti's hair had grown a bit and he had put it in a ponytail, his green highlights glowing a bit, and Barbara's was in a bun with two strands at the side of her head that were curled.
When it was time they stood together, enclosed in by the adepti forming a circle together, and Morax walked up to them. He held a vile mixed with his blood and a few other adepti's blood powered with adepti magic.
"Barbatos, god of freedom, will you power this potion with your powers to make your lover Barbara an adepti; An adepti that will be able to live with you forever and accompany you?"
He held out the potion, and so Venti let go of Barbara's hands and took it, closing his eyes as he grasped it. Blue markings appeared on his hands as the potion was turning a bluish teal, taking after his powers. When it was finished he opened his eyes, looking at Barbara with the sweetest smile, then handed it to her.
"Now Barbara, will you drink this potion to begin your adepti life? A life where you will be able to be by Barbatos' side no matter how long it's been? Once you drink this potion you agree to this question and the possible pain it may entail."
She nodded, lifting the potion to her lips as the moonlight beamed on them in the high mountains. She held one of Venti's hands, then began to drink the potion. It actually didn't taste all that bad, perhaps it was because of Venti's powers? She couldn't pin point it but the ceremony went for a little while longer just as a social gathering, Barbara slowly feeling more fatigued until she fell asleep on Venti's shoulder while sitting down together on the blanket over the grass.

When Barbara awoke she could feel the cramping and the fatigue, causing her muscles to tense. However this just contributed to the pain she felt and she grunted as she clenched her teeth, and Venti came in the room shortly after. Did he hear her in pain? He went to her side and kneeled down to look at her, seeing her eyes slightly open.
"Barbara? I'm glad you're okay, it's been a few days since the festival...It hurts, doesn't it? Is there anything I can get you to make it feel better?"
She curled up into the fetal position, tears escaping her eyes, and looked at Venti with love but annoyance. She couldn't help but think "Did he really just ask if it hurt? Of course it does!" but she also thought "aww how sweet he really wants to help in any way he can!" She was so out of it that she didn't even realize he had said she'd been sleeping for a while.
"A song..?"
"Alright I'll pull up a chair and play you as many as you want, and I'll continue playing even if you fall asleep again."
She smiled at him as he pulled a chair up then summoned his lyre. He sat down, beginning to pluck at the strings to make a beautiful melody, which Barbara thoroughly enjoyed, her body relaxed a bit as she stared into those beautiful eyes...Such calming, lovable eyes...He stopped for a moment to kiss her on the forehead, then put a hand on her cheek to lend some power to her to reduce the pain he could clearly see she was in. His hand and her cheek both glowed for a little until he removed his hand, her breathing steadied and she got to see those eyes as she fell asleep...Even when she was asleep she could still hear the lyre that Venti's soft hands so carefully plucked at the strings...Yes she did love him, he was her escape, he was the one who changed her fate...When the lyre stopped she could feel their hands intertwined, smiling in her sleep...
