Venti couldn't help but stare at Barbara, trying to understand how her mind felt comfortable enough to trust him, he also couldn't help but smile. He heard the birds chirping and the wind was blowing his braids to make them slightly messy. It took many hours of sitting there until Barbara woke up, dazed and confused, trying to recall why she was sleeping there. Barbara then saw Venti with his braids all messy, she realized that her head had been resting on his shoulder, she felt her cheeks get red and immediately began to apologize.

"I'm so so sorry! I- I really didn't mean to fall asleep on your shoulder! Oh Venti please forgive me!"

Venti giggled, a smug smile on his face as he undid his messy braids.

"I don't mind it actually, after all you were deep into slumber so I honestly didn't have the heart to wake you."

"I'm at least glad I didn't bother you with my actions...Thank you for helping me realize I needed a break, the other sisters tend to say that I overwork myself...Haha..."

"Well I'm just glad you feel well rested...Should I walk you to the cathedral? I would hate for you to run into a group of hilichurls or such."

Venti had stood up, and his braids were no longer there, she looked at him thinking about how cute his hair actually looked when it was down. Sure it was cute in the braids but it being down was much cuter. She then realized she had been staring for quite some time at Venti

"Actually Venti...How about we go to the Tavern just like when we first met, I'll pay for a few drinks for you!"

"Ehe! Sounds like a plan! How could I say no to Dandelion wine after all?"

Barbara and Venti began to walk until they ran into a large, temporary, hilichurl camp. Before the two could sneak away the crossbow hilichurl spotted them and began to fire its pyro arrows as well as another firing electro arrows. Venti saw and grabbed Barbara to help them doge the arrows, then he pulled out his bow and shot the two hilichurls off the podiums. He then summoned a black hole to suck in the rest of the hilichurls except that the big shielded mitachurl was putting up a fight and began to rush towards Venti. Venti didn't realize the mitachurl until he got knocked to the side in which he rolled his ankle pretty badly, Barbara then rushed over and began to fight as best as she could. It took a while for Barbara to get rid of the mitachurl and when she did she rushed over to Venti, noticing he was holding onto his ankle and biting his lip. Barbara offered her hand and he took it, and as soon as he tried to put his foot down he immediately yanked it off the ground. Barbara wrapped his arm around her as she looked at his ankle that was already swelling a bit.

"I'll help you to the cathedral where we can treat your ankle better...Does it feel broken?"

"No...I don't think it's that bad, but it's definitely not walkable...I'm sorry for being so careless ehe..."

Venti was a bit embarrassed of himself, after all he was an archon and was praised due to the strength he is supposed to have. He was also disappointed in himself, and felt bad for ruining their plans. Barbara walked him back to the cathedral and had him sitting on a bed while she messed with his ankle to make sure it wasn't broken.

"Hey Barbara, I'm sorry for ruining our plans...I should've been stronger and more aware..."

"Venti, don't worry about it, after all accidents happen and you had already taken down many hilichurls...To be completely honest I'm surprised you know how to fight since I thought you were just a bard...Thank you for protecting me back there, after all I would've been shot if it hadn't been for you."

Venti stared at Barbara, then gently smiled, that is until he yelped in pain.

"I'm sorry! I was just doing one final test! It doesn't seem to be broken, just badly sprained, so you can rest here until you can walk!"

"Are you sure I won't be a burden, after all it'll probably take a few days..."

"It's completely fine Venti!"

Barbara began to bandage his ankle up and looked at where his braids used to be.

"Having your hair down looks really good on you..."

"Ehe, you really think so?"

Barbara turned red from embarrassment, not meaning to say that but quickly finished her job and rushed to the door.

"Mmm...yeah I really do, Venti..."

With those final words she rushed off and Venti laid down thinking about the one he tried so desperately to live the legacy of.
