#17 Sunshine

the whole world turns dark
not even a dog to bark
can't see the light
but somehow I fight
not giving up
though it's hard

days are getting
shorter and shorter
the sun
just fades away

it's getting
colder and colder
the night
is just a footstep away

I'm short of breath
my legs tremble
near to death
about to loose the battle

out of nowhere
the sun comes out
it's getting warmer
and the birds are loud

the clouds fade
I stand up
look what he made
time to clap

dried out plants
get replaced
by colourful flowers
and a lot of green

I'm standing here
smiling at you
just peace to hear
due to you

breathing calmly
just at ease
with you I'm free
could you stay please?
