tell me that you love me
tell me that's the only thing that counts
but I would'nt trust me
cause I'll never be
as perfect as you are

I hope you see me
as the person I really am
I'm not the woman
just a silly girl

everybody knows
that you're the perfect one
everywhere you go
you're the shining sun

they say I'm good
they say I'm smart
but the only thing I care about
what is on your mind?

do you agree
or do you shout
my girl you're just lucky
the perfect woman am I

these thaughts aren't right
but every time I am
telling you I can't
your answer is you haven't tried

all these years I've known
I'll never reach your league
cause you'll never see me
as a colleague

I've never had a chance
to prove you wrong
never wanted to see me down
I would love to make you proud

but instead I know
I'll never be enough for you

he was so sad
I've tried to explain him
that's your way to help

I don't think he got it
even I failed
he's so young now
more support would be great

please change the way you love
please don't go on like this
cause this way
you'll break us all

and the only reason is
that we'll never be
as perfect as you are

maybe you think that's right
I know you want to help
but don't let us feel like this
cause we already know
we'll never be enough for you

I try to help you
try to make you proud
but the only thing I get
is what else I could do right

it's harder for her
she's working more than I
she didn't get
that we'll never
make you proud

she tries to explain
just the way she is
but she gets angry
and the only reason is

she wants to feel loved
she wants to feel safe
she wants to make you proude
and wants to be at ease

I know pretty good
cause I feel the same
but the difference is
I stopped trying to reach this

I know you're perfect
Oh, yes I do
I'll never reach this
but I hope you love me though

I'll never be enough for you
