"LUZ! GIVE US THE 80SIEST, CROWD PLEASINGEST, ROCK BALLETIEST SONG YOU GOT!" Eda cried as she stood next to you on the living room table. It was time for a Bad Girl Coven concert! Luz spread that smile of hers and tapped at her phone with intent. A familiar song started to fill the room.

"Perfect!" Eda exclaimed as you both clutched the handle of the broomstick. Your eyes met hers. You could feel her energy radiating off in waves. The drums picked up.

"DON'T START UNBELIEVING! NEVER DON'T NOT FEEL YOUR FEELINGS!" The two of you belted into the broomstick like it was a microphone. Luz waved her phone in the air with the flashlight on while King swayed next to her, arm around the shoulders of Francois. Hooty though was actively bawling on the floor.

"It's so beautiful!" He squawked in between sobs.

Yup, it was a regular cleaning day at the Owl House. They only seemed to happen once every blue moon, but when they did, most of the day was spent playing with all the shit you guys thought you'd lost, jamming to oldies, and being nostalgic. The rest was spent actually cleaning, which took much less time with magic. Luz hustled over and jumped between you two on the table and Hooty slinked off the floor and back outside, sensing that this wouldn't end well.

"I'm gonna do a flip!" She proclaimed. You and Eda looked at each other with skepticism and a bit of mischief before hopping off the table. Luz tried to retain her balance as it began to wobble at the loss of weight. Unfortunately, waving her arms and legs all over the place did not fix that, and the table crashed onto its side! Luz landed in a summersalt and sat on the floor with a shaken face.

"Not the flip you were expecting?" Eda smirked as she held a hand out for Luz. She took it with a sheepish grin and was pulled up. You couldn't help but smile. It had been quite a pleasant day so far. Nobody had gone on some wacky adventure, the house was cleaner, and the lot of you had gotten to bond in a way that didn't involve nearly dying!

You kneeled to the floor and corrected the table. Piling a few knick-knacks on top, it looked good as used! Eda liked to keep the house in a state of... let's call it maximalism. Over time though, it would become too cluttered to function in, meaning that cleaning day was upon the house once more. Still, having objects scattered around in the right places gave the home character. As Eda trotted down the hall, Luz turned to you.

"Hey (y/n)? How come you help clean?" She asked as she grabbed the broom Eda had laid against the wall. Your face scrunched in confusion.

"I live here, don't I?" You stated.

"Well yeah, but King said that sometimes you leave. He said sometimes you don't come home for months!" Luz sweeped the floor nearby. With a sigh you pushed yourself onto your feet again. Your finger circled and a feather duster hovered off the mantle, swooshing along the dusty planes. You dropped your face to look at her.

"I may not always live here, but this place will always be my home." You lifted a hand to graze the peeling wallpaper. "These were the walls that comforted me when lightning made monsters out of tree branches."

You remembered how Eda held a younger you in her arms as thunder roared in the night.

"This was the floor that turned to boiling seas when I played my games."

The image of you jumping from furniture to furniture at the age of seven replayed.

"These were the halls where I made my best memories."

The memory of Eda stealing after you down the hall projected itself in your mind. It brought another smile to your face.

"No matter where I may go, this place will always be my home. I should treat it the way it deserves to be treated." You turned to Luz once again. She was doe-eyed with a hand cupping her cheek.
