Ciel seemed to be a little anxious as he held onto me tightly while I took far, high jumps across the rooftops of the city.

"I won't drop you," I said.

"I fully trust you not to," he said.

"But I'm not Sebastian, so you can't help but doubt."

He dropped his head a little.

"I understand, Ciel, don't worry about hurting my feelings."

"It should be right over there," he said, pointing to an alley. I jumped down off the roof and landed pretty steadily. I was rather proud.

"I suppose I don't need Sebastian to train you to use your power quite yet," Ciel said.

"No. I figured out my new strength and reflexes rather quickly."

Pluto jumped down off the roof beside us, panting happily. He had clearly enjoyed the exercise from following us. Ciel picked up Pluto's leash and then took out the ribbon Lizzie had wrapped the gift box in.

"You're a dog aren't you. Track Lizzie," Ciel said.

Pluto sniffed the ribbon, then sneezed and scratched himself. I giggled softly, making Ciel glare at me. I was about to instruct Pluto when he leaped forward and started running down the alley. Ciel was dragged behind him, trying to keep ahold of the leash. I ran after them and took the leash from Ciel, pulling Pluto back as he tried to chase another dog.

"A handsome man looking for a mate in the night! How exciting!"

Ciel and I both cringed as Grell jumped down from a rooftop. I stood protectively in front of Ciel.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Why does this brat get all the good men?" Grell whined, crossing his arms. Pluto suddenly raced forward, tugging the leash out of my hands. Grell expected Pluto to come to him, but Pluto ran past.

"Well, what am I? Chopped liver?" Grell cried.

"Perhaps," I said as I ran past, following Ciel as he chased Pluto. After a few turns, we came to a little doll shop, which Pluto sat outside of wagging his tail.

"Drossel Keinz, puppeteer. Supposedly died a few months ago, but his body is still showing signs of life," Grell said, coming up behind us with a little book in his hands.

"You mean you actually can do your job?" I asked, trying to peek at his book. He gave me a slight glare, but let me lean over his shoulder to re-read the information he had stated, except it was written in more detail. The man's date of birth, date of death, the way he died.

"Interesting," I said softly. Grell seemed satisfied that I was impressed and closed the book. Pluto and Ciel had run inside the shop and I hurried after them. I came inside to see Ciel holding a doll.

"It looks like Lizzie," he said. I took the doll from him.

"It's an exact replica. She must've met with someone here who made a likeness of her," I said.

Ciel headed for the door at the back of the shop and passed through. I went wide-eyed when I saw a manor.

"How can this fit back here?" I asked.

"You're dealing with inhuman beings. You're one yourself. Are you honestly surprised?" Grell said, still giving me a side-eyed look of judgement.

I stuck out my tongue at him before turning to Ciel.

"Let's go inside," he said, running up to the door and pushing it open. I saw a girl standing there in the center of the room. Her eyes were glossy and dull, like they were made of glass. Ciel approached her slowly and she suddenly grabbed his neck. I ran forward to try to grab her but Grell was there first and cut into the girl.
