To occupy myself, I looked over the table. I saw Lizzie sitting next to a boy with silvery-blue hair and an eyepatch covering one of his blue eyes. She was bouncing in her seat and chattering to him while he was making eye contact and somewhat smiling, but seemed ready for the meal to end. In the next seat I saw Miss Dalles. She was smiling and watching the boy. I saw Paula standing near Lizzie and she gave me a little wave. I waved back slightly.

'I don't see any other adults here, though,' I thought, 'Is Lord Phantomhive really that little boy?"

He glanced away from Lizzie, briefly making eye contact with me, before doing a double-take and looking me over before turning to Sebastian.

"Sebastian, who is this?" he asked, seemed surprised and a little irritated.

"This is some extra help I have brought in," Sebastian said, "If it is alright, I feel it best she remain with me for the night."

There seemed to be a silent understanding between the two that I was in some kind of trouble and Sebastian was watching me.

"Very well," the boy said.

"I thought Sebastian finally had a girlfriend," Miss Dalles said, laughing jovially.

"They would look adorable as a couple!" Lizzie squealed, "They both look like a perfect pair, dressed in dark colors like that."

The boy glared at Miss Dalles, probably for starting the gossip conversation.

"If the meal is done, may I suggest we move to the ballroom?" Sebastian said.

"Yay!" Lizzie called, grabbing the boy's arm and dragging him out of the room.

"Come with me," Sebastian said, grabbing my hand. Before I knew it, we were outside the ballroom doors and I could hear Lizzie's joyful cries in the distance. I wasn't entirely sure how we got here, but Sebastian opened the doors and didn't seem to notice the phenomenon. Finny, Baldroy, and Franklin we're waiting near the cake, which sat displayed on a table. I looked to Sebastian and he motioned for me to join them. I hurried over to Franklin.

"I really agree that these servants are very clumsy and eager," he whispered in my ear, "This Finny kept whipping the cake box around so much that I thought he would drop it."

I bit my lip and walked around inspecting the cake. Nothing seemed out of place and the sugar glass, fortunately, wasn't cracked. I felt goosebumps travel up my skin and looked back to see Sebastian watching us. He made no attempt to hide that he was staring. At first, I thought he was looking at my rear while I was bent over, but I realized most of his gaze was directed at Franklin, who didn't even notice he was being watched.

The doors opened and the boy was walking behind the still bouncing Lizzie, trying to cover her eyes with his hands. Even though I could tell he was trying to hide it, he had a small smile on his lips as he peeked over to see Lizzie's face. Miss Dalles and Paula followed behind, both smiling widely at the little couple. Ciel finally took his hands away and Lizzie took in all the decorations, her eyes wide and her mouth open with a big smile. She squealed and turned around to squeeze the life out of the boy. At least, that's what it looked like to me.

While all this happened, Mey-Rin came in, wearing a large pink bow tied around her waist and another tied around chin on her head. So that was what took so long. Sebastian seemed to smiling at the two, not friendly, but like he was enjoying seeing his master so uncomfortable. Still, he went over to Lizzie, tapped her shoulder, and pointed to the cake. Lizzie's eyes went wide again and I moved further to the side to make sure I wasn't blocking her view. She rushed up and look at it closely.

"These flowers look like glass!" she cried, getting down on her knees and putting her chin on the table. I couldn't help smiling and tried to keep my head down.
