Y/n POV

I walked down the stairs after exiting the bedroom. I got more nervous because the knocks were powerful and hard against my wooden door.

I put the metal keychain thingy on the door to stop it from opening fully when i open it. And it is good that I did that because as soon as I opened it a inch it flung open but the metal thingy stopped the door.

"Let me in you bitch" oh guess who it is? Colin great. I stepped back from the door that colin was bumping into with his shoulder to open. I smelled alcohol great again. What is with him.

"LET ME IN" he screamed this time

"No, colin get back before I call the police" i said sternly

"Give me back my wife and my kid there not yours you freak." He said still not making a emotion out of me even thought talking about that is a sensitive topic.

I just chuckled and walked closer to the dorr which surprised him and stopped trying to get in the house

"Colin last time" i said sternly and calm "Get. Off . My. Property" i said growling at him. I don't care if you are the husband of my best friend or the step-farther of a girl. You do NOT own them and for shore do not care about them. I do so ill tell you again. Get OF MY PROPERTY" i yellowed at him.

He seemed to snapped out of the drunken gaze he was in and step back. When i thought he was going to walk away and turned suddenly and punched the door. Because he was drunk it didn't do much damage except make a small hole which i don't care about.

Colin was wearing a suit his blazer is missing and his shirt is untucked out of his pants on one side. His tie is hanging low and loose. I look at his face to see a busted lip and purple eye. Looks like he has been in a fight

I am not going to let Scarlett live in the same house as that man.

I go to the door and close it locking it from the lock on the door this time. I turn around to see Rose with her fingers in her mouth about to burst to tears. I walk over to her but she just ran away. I followed slowly and quietly trying not to make much ratchet, turn a corner, and see she is gone.

I just hear small sobs and whimpers in my laundry room making me sigh and walk up to the laundry door.

Hey Rose?" I question trying to get her attention through the door but she doesn't respond so i knock on the door lightly. "Rose? I'm sorry can i come in?" I question again in a small voice only she can hear. I don't hear anything again so i try the door knob and its locked

How did she—she isn't THAT tall. Then i hear

"Go away" she said in a small voice i can still hear her crying making me feel more guilt in what i did at the front door.

"Rose I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap like that can I make it up to you?" I question still in my small voice. She stopped her sobs now waiting for my response

"Can you open the door?" I ask so I could tell her face to face because i have things in mind that she would like.

I hear little foot steps and then and door unlock. The door cracked open to see a crying Rose looking hesitant to open the door more than the crack made.

"Hey it's ok, can I open it? "I question trying to make her trust me. She nodded hesitantly

"I'm sorry Rosie I just went a bit protective and I didn't mean to scare you—" I was cut off when a little body was thrown at me making me lift her up and hug her. I don't know why she caved in that fast but I'm not complaining i think she is still scared

"We're you scared of me?" I ask she nodded in my neck "how so?" I ask even though I new the reason

"You were yelwing and there wer big bangs dat scare me "she said slowly making me sad smile and sigh.

"I'm sorry ok? can I make it up to you?" I ask rubbing her back making her suck her fingers and nod. "How about weeeee go to the park thennnn go get ice crea—" again I was cut off by excited squeals that made me smile "and we have a movie night with lots and lots of popcorn with your favourite food?"

"How dose that sound" i ask making her nod fast "ok let's go check up on mummy" I said making her giggle and we both walk out the laundry room and into my bedroom and see a sleeping Scarlett.

I need to wake her up for some food but it's surprises me she didn't wake up from the incident that just happened. I put Rose down and see her run over to the bed trying to get up but is to short

I chuckle softly and lift her onto the bed and see her climb in bed with her mum. Scarlett turned over and wrap her arm around rose and snuggle together I don't have the heart to wake her up now so I put on paw patrol on my tv for Rose with the volume low and she sucked her fingers again as usual. I decide to hop in the other side of Scarlett because there is no more room next to Rose.

When I sat down Scarlett turned round and latched onto my arm and pulled it over her body and put it on her stomach and hugging my arm to keep warmth in. Rose was latched onto the sheets staring at the tv not really caring about her mother and I. I wish this is mine. Colin is fucking lucky

But he needs to get his shit together if he wants them back
