The advise i needed

Y/N POV

Im still in the car dazed about the i student that happened not that long ago. My mind is just blank forgetting about all the memory's and its just blank. Im still in the car driving around, yeah i know not safe but I haven't crashed so good sign so far.

I decided to go see my dad because that's the only place my mind will let me think about. I put on the radio, putting it on low then start driving to my dads place.

Once i arrive there, memory's start piling in about all the fun, sad times that i enjoyed with him. I took a deep breath before exiting the car. I walked up to the door and knocked it a few times. Silence.

I know its late and would be weird if a person would be knocking at this time. So i knock one more time, only this time a man awfully familiar opens the door. We stood there staring at each other, before my dad wrapped his big arms around me hugging me in a embrace that made me feel safe.

"Oh my god, I haven't seen you in so long" he says to himself pulling himself out of our embrace putting his hand on my shoulders staring into my eyes. "Hi" he whispered still dazed

I break out into a smile "hi" i said

" come in, come in" he said with a excited tone waving his hand towards the door inviting me inside.

I walk to the door instantly washed over with a bright light in the hallway.

"Follow me " he said and walked to what I assume is the lounge

He motioned me to sit at the couch witch i obeyed quietly. He sat opposite me staring at me. I could see confusion like he is figuring something out and i know exactly what.

"I know you are wondering why im here" i said making him nod and those confession emotions wash away from him. "Umm well it's complicated but your the only person i feel safe to talk to and you could hopefully give my some advise?" I question him

"Yeah, of course what do you need help with?" He asks, it kind of feels like a student asking the teacher for help on a question.

"Well um, you know Scarlett well something happened and im just confused and need help and what to do" i said. He sat in silent waiting for me to continue

"Um First off Scarlett is pregnant and Colin hasn't really been helping her so i kind of stepped in and helped her as a best friend way and helped her through most of her pregnancy. And something happened not that long ago and now im here asking for you help" i said making him think

"Well first off, Scarletts pregnant?" He asks making me nod "how far along?" He asks again

"Around six to seven months" i said " she kind of kicked me out of my own house" i said leaving out the huge detail that made me love my own house

"You know when your mum was pregnant with you she had these huge pregnancy hormones like kicking me out the house or sleeping on the couch so i guess that's kind of normal" he says. I know its a hard subject talking about mum to him but when i need to talk he is always moving things out of his way to make me feel better.

"But the thing is, i-its not just hormones, we kind of did it—" i stretched out the last word to see his emotion on his face change from emotionless to wide-eyed

"Y-you what?" He stuttered stunned.

"W-we kind of had sex" i said slowly again. Silence.

After awkward silence he speaks up

"U-um well y-yeah, ok wow" he says putting his elbows on his knees holding his face up "what about Colin?" He asks

"Well Colin form my knowledge is probably drinking or something like that, he hasn't changed dad" i said making him lean back in the chair realising a deep sigh.

"I knew I wasn't going to change, when I first met him something was off, but to late, um well i guess you cant go back" he says trying to put words and the puzzle together "where is Scarlett now?" He asks

"Probably at her house now regretting what just happened" i said now this time i sigh

"Well you cant blame her, she's married, has a child and is carrying one about to give birth and had sex with there best friend" he said making me put sense to it.

"Yeah" is all i said. "Well what s-should i do?" I ask

"Well i would first off not break this relationship you have as friends, you guys need each other even if you dont see it, but she as sure need her best friend and that's you because yeah she has friends but i feel like your the closest to her right now and she doesn't have that right now, sooooo i would go back to New York apologise to Scarlett and if she forgives you, you be there for her even if it hurts but if she doesn't then its not worth putting anymore time in that friend ship because you are just going to hurt yourself more" he said. I nod still hesitant to face her

"Ok" i nod taking a deep breath plotting how this is going to go the negative and the positives. My dad just smiles standing up

"Now get your ass up and out that door and start again" he says basically pushing me out the door so much for a visit.

Once im outside on the porch i was pulled into a hug.

"Just promise me you text me this time?" He says making my nod "i promise" i said back to him. We release form our hug he smiles at me

"It's good to see you and ill give nalla to you" i says and walk to my car opening to door carrying that sleeping dog giving him to my dad I say one last good bye before I turn to walk to my car.
