🦁 The Carnivore Meeting

Jinx sat against the fence with Vi and Agata, seeing the other carnivores in the club come in. Bill sat closest to Vi, tail twitching. Legoshi, Tao, Sheila, a bear, a mongoose, an eagle, and Juno all came. Jinx was quickly sat in the middle, everyone studying her. "Hey, kid. Can we see your teeth?" Bill asked, to which Jinx bared her teeth, pulling on her lip to show her molars. "Look at that." Juno whispered. "Can you even eat meat?" Bill asked, confused. He showed his teeth, showing how they were made to shear meat. "I can."

Vi thought there would be more going on, but they just sat and studied Powder. Legoshi gently touched Powder's pant leg, Vi noticing she pulled away. "I noticed a bruise earlier, can I check it?" Legoshi gently asked, Powder slowly scooting her leg over. Legoshi rolled the fabric gently, everyone seeing the now yellowing bruise. Sheila covered her mouth, tears threatening to pour. "My goodness, those are some nasty bruises." The mongoose whispered. "Oh, you should see what Vi did." Powder laughed a little, Vi felt embarrassed. Powder opened and closed her mouth, the carnivores hearing a soft clicking. "Damn, Vi. You're a dick." Bill hissed, pulling Powder into a hug. "How can you hit this kid? Look at her, she's cute like a Shiba Inu." Bill had Powder tilt her head. "See? She's like a puppy."

Jinx couldn't help but laugh. "Thanks." She mumbled, being handed an egg sandwich by Legoshi. "Kids your age need to eat." He commented, Jinx swiftly taking a bite. She hummed in happiness, taking another bite. "New Years is coming up." The bear commented, Legoshi and him making brief eye contact. "I'm gonna be with my family." Jinx happily explained, then heard Agata quietly speak with Legoshi. Something called Rexmas. Jinx tilted her head, the two nodding. With a handful of money exchanged, Legoshi told them to stay put. "I'll be right back. Nobody leave." Legoshi ordered, running to do as Agata asked.

"Hey Jinx. Can you tell us about where you're from?" Sheila asked, not noticing the portal opening behind her. Jinx stared at it, seeing someone look through it. "Ekko?" She asked, eyes wide. Sheila and the others looked through the portal, Ekko coming to join them. "What are you two doing here? Everyone's been looking for you two!" He sounded worried, hugging the two. "I'm part of The Shishigumi." Jinx whispered to him, introducing him to Agata. "Another of your friends?" Agata asked, Jinx nodding. "This is Ekko. He's cool."

Ekko stared up at the lion, eyes wide in fear. "Jinx, your home smells bad. How did you survive this?" The tiger questioned, the portal swiftly closing. Ekko glanced over, eyes wide in fear. "Your name is Jinx?" He asked Powder, confused. "I fucked up." Vi called out, putting up a hand to signal where she was. The lion looked annoyed to have more children running around, grabbing a device. "Hey, it's Agata... Jinx is fine, but another from her world came through, his name is Ekko... It's up to Jinx on what to do? Boss, this is-... Yes sir." He pressed a red button, turning to Powder. Ekko glanced to Power, who hugged him. "Shishigumi! Shishigumi!" She chanted, lifting him off the ground slightly. The others hushed her gently, to which she did.

Legoshi came back with a small electric grill, dipping sauces, and rice cakes. Jinx gave him a hug, excitedly watching. She introduced everyone to Ekko, then explained what happened. "I'm the Black Market Princess. It's like a Beastar, but in the Black Market. I also know the Beastar, you'd like him. He's fast and cool." Jinx was excitedly speaking, even bringing up the scarier times.

Ekko stared in disbelief, shaking his head a little. "How did you survive for this long?"

"I just did."
