The sound of a gun firing echoed through the tunnel, a loud scream escaping Jinx as she collapsed to her knees. "Ibuki!" Jinx screamed, wrapping her arms around herself. "Get up." Jinx shook her head, rocking herself slightly as tears poured from her eyes. "You have to get up, sweet pea." Jinx looked up, seeing a faint glow. Louis was standing in front of her. Jinx got up, hugging the deer with all her might. "You're safe, pumpkin." Louis quietly whispered, running his fingers through her hair. A drop of blood dripped onto Jinx's cheek, making her look up. Ibuki was dead, her scream having caught everyone off-guard.

Louis got to her level, wiping away tears. "I have to go save Legoshi." He whispered, Jinx shaking her head. "You have to lead them now, pumpkin."

Ekko woke up a few hours later, finding that some people were already back. He headed downstairs, seeing Vi without Powder. "Where's Powder?" He asked, worry filling his senses. "She ran after Ibuki, Louis, and Free. They haven't come back." Vi quietly explained, bringing him back to Powder's room.

"I'm leaving the Shishigumi." Vi quietly explained. "I can't... I can't do this. They've corrupted Powder into a killing machine, they'll turn me too." Vi quietly explained, looking up towards the large building with the Penthouse. "I cannot be apart of her world anymore." Vi admitted. "I'll watch and protect her from a distance. Any major threat will have to get through me first." Vi got up, leaving Ekko in the room. "Tell her I'm sorry."

"Good thing that train masked our footsteps... I need to get back down there." "Are you stupid!?" Louis smacked Legoshi's hand, grimacing in a sad anger. I've lost Ibuki, I can't lose you too. Tears welled up in his eyes, I have to do this. Be free, you're no longer forced to stay, young fawn. He rolled up his pant leg.

Vi ran through the streets of the Black Market, closing her eyes as she ran. Once she opened her eyes, she found herself at Cherryton Academy's steps, slowly making her way up them. She found herself going to Room 701, catching the canines inside off-guard.

Jinx shook her head , sobbing as she saw Ibuki's dead body. "No! No, no, no! Wake up Ibuki! Wake up! You have to wake up! Please!" Jinx screamed, shaking the dead lion. "Please! Ibuki!" She saw his blood getting onto her hands, shaking her head. I did this. This is my fault. This is all my fault. "I had to kill him." Free spoke up. Jinx looked up at him, shaking her head. "Why? Why!?" Jinx couldn't stop crying, choking on her tears. "If I didn't, he would've killed Louis. It was his way of letting go. I can't say I regret it, but his death will not be in vain." Free's voice was filled with sadness, gently placing a hand on her shoulder. "You understand, right?"

Jinx slowly shook her head, feeling the flames licking at her skin. She couldn't see Ibuki anymore, all she saw was Vander's dead body. Just heartbeats after the discovery replayed just before her eyes, the pain in her cheek, the feeling of her jaw being squeezed, the hot fire and cold rain against her. The smell of dead flesh and dust filling her nose. She grabbed her gun, swiftly aiming for her head. She couldn't hear Free scream as she began to pull the trigger. The world went dark before she completely pulled it.

Then, silence.
