Jinx stared out at the sea, eyes glazed over. She felt like she was stuck, she hated this place. She packed a bag, needing a break. She informed her professors, claiming that her sister was very ill and needed her.

Jinx walked out, knowing exactly where she needed to go. Kirin Jindosh. She got to traveling, making sure to keep her hair up and hidden to not spark any suspicion. "Do you have an appointment with Mr. Jindosh?" A guard spoke, glaring. "I'm his niece. It's important." She spoke up, the guard gave a nod, typing in the code and letting her continue on.

Jinx walked in, removing her disguise and pulling the first lever. "Hello Birdy." Jinx greeted the first Clockwork Soldier, walking past. "Hey Sparrow." Greeting the second, she walked past a couple guards. "Greetings, Ms. Jinx." A guard spoke, Jinx raising a hand to greet them. "Sup." She headed towards the elevator, knowing Jindosh got word of her arrival through the pressure sensors in the mansion. Jinx pressed a button, taking her to Jindosh's laboratory.

"What are you doing here, Ms. Jinx?" Jindosh questioned, not looking up from his project. "I don't want to be in the academy anymore." Jinx blurted, dropping her bag and sitting at a chair. "Want to be like your Uncle Jindosh?" The man chuckled, Jinx giving a small smirk that quickly faded. "I know the pain. I was once at the academy too. They kicked me out." Jindosh cut the comedy, seeing Jinx glance over. "Did you now? Makes sense." Jinx gave a small chuckle, remembering when Jindosh helped her with her experiments. He always let her go as crazy as she wanted, going as far as to rename his famous lock after her. Once The Jindosh Lock became The Jinx Lock, making it sound far more intimidating. "It very much so is true. I made a machine that drank water and sang sad songs."  Jindosh spoke up, pulling Jinx from her thoughts.

She remembered how she tried to make something similar. They destroyed it the moment they realized what it did, holding her back as they tore it down until nothing was left. No matter how much she screamed, they continued to break it and laugh at her tears. It wasn't until the students tried to throw her into the distant sea with her machine that a professor stopped what was happening. All her hard work at the bottom of the ocean.

"I have the blueprints to mine." Jindosh sat up at Jinx's offer, moving his goggles and looking at her grin. "It's been a little while since we built something together. Let's give this a whirl." Jindosh put his tools down, walking over.

Jindosh and Jinx were working for seven days, only sleeping 2-4 hours each day. "Here's the lever, my dear." Jindosh handed her the switch, Jinx getting it in place and pulling it. A dreadfully sad song began to play. It was the song Jinx wrote when she was much younger about the pain she felt as she watched Vi and Ekko leave her behind. She looked up to Jindosh, seeing a couple tears run down his cheeks. "You were always an amazing piano player." Jindosh whispered, patting her shoulder. "Let's get to making you a Letter of Resignation to that tacky academy." Jindosh offered, then gave Jinx a kiss to her forehead.

"All you need, my little bluebird, is your beautiful mind."
