32 | Ara meets the boys

The first day of Taehyung bringing Ara to college went by fast. It was now the second day, and the brunette was feeling a lot better about it all. Ara handled the environment well.

Taehyung ended up getting Jui's number. They talked about doing playdates for the girls and catching up more often. Even though they will get to talk to each other during breaks, catching up outside of school would be nice.

Jungkook had spent most of his day avoiding people's comments and questions about Taehyung. People were so noisy. It bothered him a lot. No one had a right to know what happened. It was no one else's business.

He spent his hours apart from the brunette texting him to ensure the male was okay. It was finally lunch, and Taehyung had checked the time to see if it was time to feed Ara, but it was not; today's classes did not match up.

"Do you wanna come with me? The boys are staying in an empty classroom. It is quiet, and they wanna meet Ara?" Jungkook whispered to Taehyung, who was walking beside him.

"Sounds good. Jui is not here anyways," Taehyung replied, both his hands on Ara's back— which was covered by the baby wrap.

"You guys seem to be quite close?" Jungkook questioned, pushing open the door for them both to walk out.

"Yeah, we both are going through the same thing. Both of our girls are similar in age." The raven nodded, walking towards a classroom and pushing the door open.

When they both stepped in, they made eye contact with Jungkook's basketball team, who turned around when they heard to door open. Taehyung gave them all a soft smile when he walked in.

He chuckled slightly when he watched them all stand up as if they were the president. "You guys don't have to stand", He chuckled, walking towards each other to hug them.

"Jungkook was saying her name is Ara?" Ryan questioned, eyes now on Ara, sleeping against the brunette's chest.

"Yeah, would you like to hold her?" Taehyung asked, looking at Ryan, who looked a little surprised— eyes widened as he shuffled around.

"Y-yeah", He stuttered, causing the others to chuckle. "Sit on the couch, Ray. You may find it easier holding her there," Jungkook said, shutting the door behind him as he followed Taehyung to the couch.

The raven watched as his best friend carefully took Ara out of the baby wrap and slowly lowered her into Ryans's arms.

Jungkook moved back, pulling out a chair to sit on it as he watched Ryan interact with Ara, who was now awake. She made little noises as she looked up at the new male holding her.

"She is adorable", Ryan whispered. "She does not resemble Eun at all; she fully looks like a mini-you," Harry said, voice low as he sat next to Ryan— looking over his shoulder to see Ara. In some way, that made Taehyung feel good.

He was glad that she resembled him more than Eun. "Is she still trying to take you to court?" Josh questioned, all moving to sit in front of them.

"I think so. I have not heard anything about it, which is good so far. Jungkook's mother knows a lawyer who will help us if it gets to that point" Taehyung hopes it does not get to that point. He already has a lot going on.

He does not need Eun and Benjamin up his ass about anything. "Yesterday, when Benjamin and Eun walked into class late and made eye contact with me, I had a gut feeling that Benjamin would complain or say something, but he did not. All I get is glares from them."

"Have you seen Jake?" Namjoon questioned"No, I have from afar but not close up. He ditched class, so I have not seen him yet— thankfully."

"It's my turn to hold her now", Harry called out, standing up, causing the group to laugh. Including Taehyung, who watched them all interact with Ara, it made him feel happy that he did have people around him who cared for him and his daughter.

Jungkook's friends were the only people he could trust besides Jui. A few minutes passed, and they all realised they were running late for classes.

After Taehyung placed Ara back in the baby wrap, he turned around when he felt a hand on his back.

"Hey, I know that I spend most of my time joking around with you, but you're like a brother to me, and you're important to Jungkook, so you're also important to me. If you ever need anything, please let me know," Ryan whispered, looking at Taehyung, who felt his stomach swirl with happiness.

"Thanks, Ray, I appreciate that" He smiled, watching Ryan nod and lean down to press a kiss on Ara's head. Jungkook watched the interaction and smiled.

He knew Ryan cared about Taehyung and was glad the boys handled this situation well. "Are you going back to class?" Jungkook questioned Taehyung when everyone left the room.

"No, I have to take Ara to her first doctor's appointment", The brunette whispered.

"Oh, can I come?" Jungkook asked, gripping the straps of his bag as he felt a little worried at what the male's reply would be. He did not want to step over any boundaries.

He did not want to cross the line."Of course, you are welcome to come. You don't have to ask Kook" Jungkook smiled, nodding his head as they quickly left the room and headed towards the hospital.
