36 | daycare sorted

Taehyung was not sure about telling Jungkook about the apartment, he knew he eventually had to, but he was not sure when the right time would be.

He was scared about his reaction. After parking the male's car back at the college, he walked to the daycare that was on the other side of the fence.

He was meant to be meeting with Mrs Garrett's sister, as weird as it sounds. As he walked into the daycare, he heard lots of giggles and excited shouts from the children. He walked to the front desk, said he was here to see someone, and gave his name.

"Oh yes, Taehyung. Hi, I am Brianna" She smiled, shaking the male's hand.

"This must be Ara!" She whispered when she realised the baby was asleep.

"Aint baby wraps handy" She laughed.

"Best invention ever", Taehyung laughed as they walked around the centre.

So far, Taehyung liked it. They had all the things he was looking for in a centre.

"So the children have all separate classrooms? pending on their age group?" Taehyung questioned as they walked outside to where the playground was.

"Yes, so there are two sides to this centre. We have the 0 months- 2-year-olds on that side and then 3-4 on this side," Brianna said, pointing in one direction.

"Ara would be placed in the 0-2 group. It's a quiet area. Let me show you," She said, leading Taehyung through a few gates. The brunette looked around the area and smiled; there was a fluffy, thick mat where some babies were lying with teachers watching them.

"We pride ourselves on children's development and starting motor skills early. This centre is very played based."

"Perfect", Taehyung replied. That was what he wanted to hear.

"Where do I sign papers?" Taehyung questioned, smiling when Brianna got excited as they walked towards the front desk.

"Is there a certain teacher that focuses on certain kids?"

"Yes, Ara will be a part of my students" She smiled

Taehyung felt happy that Brianna was going to be Ara's teacher. He was glad that it was someone he got to meet before he had to make a choice.

"For safety reasons, if anyone else were coming to pick Ara up, we would need your confirmation that you know them. If you write here names and who they are to you, so if anyone comes to pick up Ara, I will ask them as a security question," Brianna said, giving him a sad smile.

"Sorry, I know it may be a lot. There was an incident at a centre a few weeks ago down a few blocks where someone pretended to be a child's mother, and the centre did not have any reason not to let the child go with her."

"Turns out the woman was her mother who went out of prison and posed as the child's grandmother."

"That is horrible. Did they get the child back?" Taehyung questioned.

"Yes, luckily. Now many centres are adding this into their protocol" She handed him the folder and pointed to where he wrote the names and his relationship with them.

He let out a sigh. He felt conflicted. He was not sure as to why he felt conflicted.

He smiled slightly, handing the folder back to Brianna, who smiled.

"When would you like her to start?"

"Tomorrow? we can start slow maybe, have her come in a few days a week?" Brianna suggested, giving the male an example.

"Tomorrow sounds perfect. What time do I bring her in?" Taehyung questioned.

"Any time between 8-9, then you can pick her up any time before 4 pm."

"Sounds good" Taehyung smiled.

They chatted for a few more minutes before she got called back to the classroom. They said goodbye before Taehyung walked out of the centre, heading back towards the college where an anxious Jungkook was waiting.

The brunette felt his phone vibrating heaps in his pocket, he felt terrible, but he felt rude picking the phone up when someone was talking to him. As he reached the college car park, he saw Jungkook leaning against his car, checking his phone and then looking around.

Once they made eye contact, you could see the relief covering Jungkook's facial expressions. The raven had jogged towards him, arms in the air.

"Where were you? do you not know how to use your phone?" The male said, his voice sounding angry, but Taehyung knew he was worried.

"Sorry, Kook, I was talking to one of the teachers at the daycare and did not wanna interrupt her talking", Taehyung pouted, soon letting out a smile when he felt Jungkook cup his cheeks.

"You had me worried" He sighed, looking down at the sleeping Ara.

"Oh, there is my baby" A bright smile plastered over the male's face as soon as he saw Ara.

"How did all that go?" Jungkook questioned as they both walked towards the car.

"It went well. I did not have many classes today, so I got a few things done," Taehyung said, opening the back door of the car to put Ara in her car seat.

"Gosh, it is windy", The brunette complained as he quickly shut the door before Ara got cold.

"What stuff did you get done?" Jungkook asked, reaching the other side of the car.

"I went to meet someone about apartments. It was in my price range even though it does not look like it. So I got it," Taehyung whispered after hopping in the car, looking at Jungkook, who froze a little.

"O-oh", Jungkook blurted out.

The raven was not expecting Taehyung to say he had found his place. He was happy for the male but sad for himself.

After clearing his throat, he said, "That is great, Tae. I am happy for you. When do you move in?" Jungkook questioned, hoping it would be a few weeks at least.

"Two days"

Stab. That sucks. That was not the answer he was hoping for.
