A couple of days passed, and Jungkook never left his best friend's side. His mother watched Ara for a couple of days while Taehyung had to stay at the hospital. They finally got the all-clear to go home. The doctor was not keen on letting the male go home when he was having trouble walking.

Once he was back to walking okay, and his scars were clean, he could go back home.

(Two days ago)

Jungkook spent the next few hours at the hospital, pacing back and forward as he waited for a doctor. He heard from an officer that they were comparing the blood on the bat to Taehyung's to see if it was a match.

If they figure out that it matches, they will open an investigation. The raven had no idea who would do something against this. His wallet was not taken or his phone. So it was a target at Taehyung.

Now leaning against the wall, looking at all the people walking past. His eyes landed on a doctor that came out of Taehyung's room.

"How is he?" Jungkook asked as soon as they were face to face.

"He is doing well."

"Taehyung woke up while the nurses were cleaning his wounds, he tried talking, but his throat was really dry. He must stay drinking water for a few days and avoid coffee. Hot chocolate and tea are fine," The doctor said softly.

"There is significant bruising all over his stomach, hips and legs. His ribs are bruised but not fractured, which is a great sign. He will be in a lot of pain. I heard he is a newborn, so he must avoid walking around holding her. So carrying things."

"Can he sit down and hold her?" Jungkook questioned, eyes on the doctor, who nodded.

"Yes, he can, as long as someone is with him when he does."

"I am going to grab all the medications and creams I have asked for, for him, and I will come to see you in a bit", The doctor whispered.

"Thanks, doc", Jungkook said, patting the male's shoulders before heading straight to the male's room. When he softly opened the door, he made eye contact with the brunette lying against the bed, blankets covering everything but his face.

He felt his throat close up and sting as he walked closer, the room starting to be blurry as he brushed the male's hair out his face.

"I am so sorry" He finally let the tears fall as his eyes examined the male's face, dark purple bruises scattered across his face.

"It-tried to f-fight back", Taehyung coughed slightly, getting told off by Jungkook, who told him not to speak.

"Blink twice if the police have spoken to you," The raven said, watching as Taehyung only blinked once.

"Okay, just rest. I will be right here, okay" Taehyung nodded softly before shutting his eyes.

(Present)

Now Taehyung and Jungkook had just stepped foot back inside the brunette's apartment. Ara was at Jungkook's house, spending time with her grandparents. The brunette missed her, and so did Jungkook.

Hana brought Ara to the hospital the day after Taehyung was found. The brunette could not hold her, but he got to see her in Jungkook's arms, which made him happy.

"Since it is nearly dinner, let's get a bath ready for you while I make something", Jungkook stated, hand placed softly on the male's back. Helping him towards the bathroom, he smiled, seeing Taehyung sitting on the toilet seat while he ran the bath.

Leaving the room to grab some comfortable clothes for the male.

"Have the police spoken to you yet?" Jungkook questioned, eyes now on the brunette who shook his head.

"They are coming over tomorrow to talk to me about what happened", He whispered back, eyes trained towards the ground.

Jungkook hummed, nodding his head as he stopped the bath tap.

"Can you help me get undressed" The male whispered. He was embarrassed even to ask, but he was not stupid either. He was not going to pretend like he did not need help and hurt himself more.

"Of course", Jungkook whispered, walking towards him. He grabbed the ends of the male's shirt and pulled it over him. Soon going over to his pants, then underwear. Jungkook grabbed the male's hand and lowered back while he helped Taehyung hop into the warm bath.

After the male was seated, Jungkook pecked the male's head.

"Call out if you need anything."

Taehyung watched the male head towards the door, his hands on the edge as he was about to shut it.

"Kook!" He called out, hand towards him. The raven turned his head towards his voice.

"Could you leave it open, please"

"Sure", Jungkook smiled, leaving the door wide open as he quickly headed towards the kitchen.

It was nice to be around Taehyung. He has been fighting himself back from asking the male questions. He knew that was the last thing he needed. Grabbing a pan and taking out a few ingredients to make him some soup.

The soup he decided to make was the soup his mother always used to make him when he was sick. At times she used to pack some for Taehyung as well. He was lucky enough that his mother taught him how to make it.

After making the soup, he left it on low heat when he heard Taehyung call out to him. He smiled when he saw the male still in the bath, saying he wanted to get out—helping him out of the bath and into his new clothes. They entered the lounge, the fireplace was on, and the TV had Taehyung's favourite show playing.

"Daddy Hank", Taehyung whispered, walking towards the couch as he slowly rested against it.

Jungkook chuckled, sitting down next to him.

"The soup should be ready soon. Ara should also be back soon," The raven whispered, placing his palm over the male's thigh gently when Taehyung placed his legs over his lap.

"Thank you for putting the fire on. It is nice and warm in here," The brunette whispered.
