Max POV:
I carefully get up, as not to wake up Neil, and as quietly as possible, I Sprint to his desk and start looking for paper and a pencil to write a note so he will know I left. I find a pen and a stack of sticky notes. I quickly write "went back to David's while you were asleep, lol. -Max" and put it on one of his books that he had open, before going back to the window and practically jumping out of it.
I ran down the street in the direction of David's house. And I also found out just how many kids live on this street, the place was fucking crawling with them! All little kids, most of them were playing in the street, cause thats perfectly safe. Not a lot of little kids live in the older houses like David's because nobody really trusts those houses. Except David. So I never realized that there were so many goddanm children living here.
I finally get past all of the children and to the older parts of the neighborhood. I get to David's house and walk up to the door, only to find it unlocked, I step inside and find it empty. Where the hell did they go?
