I stood outside Neil's door for a second after I heard his and Neil's conversation.

I'm going to tear Max's parents to pieces.

I know it's rude to eavesdrop, but I couldn't help myself, I came inside to show Neil the weird ancient temple thingy I found in the forest behind our house, and when I heard them talking to each other I thought it would be funny to listen in on them.

I was wrong.

I think for a second on what I should do now that I know all this.
...
I shouldn't let Max know I herd all of that, he'll hate me for sure... Then I'll just act like I didn't. I'll barge in there, start saying something to Neil, than I'll act like I just found out Max is there, than we can go watch a movie or something, some activity where I have an excuse not to talk so much, so then there's less of a chance of me letting the truth slip.

(Time skip because you already know what happens)

We started watching the original 'A Nightmare on Elm Street', Max picked it out, of course. But ironically, he seemed to be the most frightened by all the deaths. Neil on the other hand (when he wasn't calming Max down) was interested in how the special effects were done, I also think he mentioned watching a 'Movies that made us' episode. I just thought the movie was cool.

(A/N: Lol, I literally JUST watched the original 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' and, yes, my scardy-cat ass did cry, especially when they killed off the main girl's boyfriend. He was fucking amazing T-T
