David POV

After saying goodnight to the kids I go across the hall into my room, a small cozy room, with light green walls, a twin sized bed with green covers on it, and a lot of different types of plants! Sadly I haven't unpacked my log yet, so I just have to go without it.. Oh well! Thats fine! I go onto my phone to plan out what to do for tomorrow, I open my notes and see a note I don't remember weighting down..

Max POV

I woke up in the middle of the night due to a nightmare again.. my head hurts again- fuuuuuuuccccckkkkkk-.. Imma get outta here..-
I silently get out of bed and creep over to the closet and put on a fluffy, oversized, dark grey jacket and sneak out the window. There is a shed in the back of the house that I hop down on to and I slowly shimmy down an old ladder proper on the side, wincing every time my broken ribs start to hurt.

I walk down the street until a few blocks away from David's house, I see a firmilier looking car, it takes me a minute, but I realize that's the car Nikki and Neil left in, apparently they're parents are dating, so that means.. THIS IS NEILS HOUSE!!! oh wait, Nikki's too, yae! I walk to one of the windows of the small. One story house and see Neil's Dad and Candy sleeping together.. okay.., but not what I'm looking for, I go around the house and see Neil doing some nerdy thing at a desk with only a dim lamps light.

I softly throw a small rock at the window to gain his attention. After about six tries he finally goes to the window.
"Heyyy"
"Max! What are you doing here!"
He says, climbing through the window.
"Well..- some weird shit happened and now me and Harrison are staying with David for now."
"Shit! Really?"
"Yeah"
"Why?"
"Don't want to talk about it.."
"Okay.."
Neil sees that Max is uncomfortable and decides to change the topic.
"Wanna get Nikki and go to the park?"
"Nah, Nikki is too wild, we can go together thogh"
"Sure"

Max and Neil go to the park and lay in the grass, looking at the stars.

Neil POV

After a while of star gazing I feel something fluffy huddle beside me, I look down and see Max, asleep beside me. Jesus fuck, he's adorable when he's not pissed off! Wait a sec.. what time is it? Shit! We gotta go home! Wait..- WHERE IS DAVID'S HOUSE!!! If I somehow wake him up he'll be too tired to get back to David's house.. *sigh* he can go home in the morning when he wakes up, for now I gess he's staying at my house.. I pick him up and he's way lighter than an average ten year old.. that's not good..- I'll give him something to eat before he leaves tomorrow..
