Stars (A Sollux x Reader) //Completed!

Chapter 5

"Uurrgghhh...", you wake up to your alarm blaring in your ear. You fumble around blindly trying to hit the snooze button, but then you remember today is the day of the meet up. "SHIIIIIITTT", you fling your covers off of you stumble out of bed. You reach over to grab your phone and check the time. "FRICK, IT'S 4:00 ALREADY??!", maybe marathoning the whole season of Attack on Titan last night until 5:00am wasn't such a good idea. Sollux said he would be here to pick you up at 6:00... So you have about 2 hours... But you still need to shower... And you take showers that are about an hour long... So that's one hour wasted. Then you take a while to put on eyeliner and style your hair... Oh and you can't forget about choosing the perfect outfit. That might take longer too. Wait, what if he decides to come earlier than 6:00. But then what if he gets lost trying to find your house, and arrives to get you late... I mean you did give him the address... But does he even know how a GPS works? Fuck it, just get ready now. You run off to take a shower.

--After the shower--

"Uhhh... Outfit, outfit, outfit...", you search through the clothes in your closet. Should I go stylish, comfy, or casual?? Ugh what the fuck are we even going to be doing at his friend's house. You know what, screw it. You grab some black denim jeans and a shirt with Totoro on it. You look at yourself in the mirror, "Good enough.", you grab a jacket and then head to the bathroom to put on some eyeliner.

You finish up putting on eyeliner and grab your phone to check the time again. "5:45, phew.", now you just have to wait until Sollux gets here. You move into the living room and sit down on the couch and scroll through your instagram. You lose track of time scrolling through your feed and you get brought back to your senses by the sound of the doorbell ringing. You hop up off of the couch and almost trip running over to the door. You unlock it, open the door, and see Sollux. "Hey (name), you ready to go?"

"Yeah, let's go!"

You walk out the door and make sure to lock it behind you. You begin walking down the street, following close behind Sollux. It's a little too quiet for you to handle, so you try to start up a conversation, "Uhm, so who all is going to be there?"

"Just a couple of friends, hopefully not a lot. It's over at my friend Karkat's hive. I'm not sure who all he invited to come over but knowing him, he invited Gamzee. And word spreads pretty fast between us trolls, so Eridan might be there too. Watch out for him, he's a creep."

"O-okay.", all of these names sound so different to you. It's kind of scary, you won't know anyone except for Sollux, and you're almost hoping he won't leave you alone with them.

--at Karkat's hive--

Walking up the drive way, you take in what you see. This is the first time you've seen a Hive, and you're not so sure what to think. Sollux's voice makes you jump, "Don't worry (name), nothing is going to hurt you, you'll be fine.", he laughs at you for being so tense. "C'mon", he motions you up to the door. You follow him up the steps to the door, and he knocks. There's silence for a while and then you hear crashing and banging coming from inside. You decide to say nothing about it. Sollux seems completely unphased, this must be normal for him. Then suddenly you hear a voice from behind the door, "WHAT'S THE PASSWORD YOU FUCK."

"How pleasant.", you murmur.

"Kk seriously, it's me, let me in."

"NO, WHAT'S THE PASSWORD."

"Kk, you will open this door, or so help me I will break it off of the hinges."

There's a moment of silence from behind the door. The door then creaks open, revealing a short troll with messy black hair, wearing a black turtle neck with a cancer symbol on it. "If my brother had found out the door was broken again he'd get mad at me so, whatever, come in.", his voice was a lot calmer now. Wait did he just say, "again"? Does that mean Sollux has broken down the door multiple times before? What even... You know what, whatever. You follow Sollux inside. The room you walk into is filled with weird looking and shaped furniture. So this is what a hive looks like on the inside? Okay, trolls are weird. Sollux taps you on the shoulder and you look over at him and the short troll standing next to him, "(Name), this is Karkat. Karkat, this is (name)."

"NICE TO MEET YOU.", Karkat holds out his hand for you to shake it, his voice was loud and irritated-sounding again. Was he always like this? You hold out your hand to his and shake hands, "It's nice to meet you too Karkat.", you let go of his hand and look back over to Sollux. Sollux starts to look around the room, "is anyone else here?", he asks

"NO, NOT YET. YOU GUYS ARE THE FIRST ONES HERE. GAMZEE SHOULD BE OVER SOON, AND ALSO ERIDAN, TEREZI AND TAVROS SHOULD BE HERE."

Just as Karkat finishes his sentence, the doorbell rings. You begin to wonder who it is.
