--Author's note--
Hi! You can call me Solo. This is going to be my first fanfic, so it might not be that good at first until I start getting the hang of writing this. I apologize in advance for any typos! This chapter will probably be short, because where I am it's really late and I should be sleeping. Well enough of my blabbering, hope you enjoy!
----------------------------------------
Your name is ( name ). You are a 18 year old girl living with your mom in your shitty, old apartment. Your mom works almost all day, leaving you home alone for most of the time until she comes home at 10:00 at night and sleeps until about 8:00 and goes back to work. She works hard enough to earn just the right amount of money to get you both food and a place to stay and sleep.

But anyways, back to you. You have long brown hair that goes down to your shoulders. You love to draw, read, and sing. But those are only a few of your many hobbies and things you enjoy doing. You're a great multitasker and you love your laptop and phone. You decorate your plain white walls in your room with drawings and posters of your favorite anime characters and book characters. Being alone for most of the day is tough, but that means you get the TV all for yourself for a while. Being home alone has also taught you how to cook for yourself. Your mother was never around for long enough to teach you. The days she had off, she mainly spent sleeping and resting, and you know she deserves it. So you ended up teaching yourself. You can make simple meals, like a sandwich and maybe some soup, and on special occasions you whip up some quesadillas or lasagna. But you make spaghetti for your mom on Friday nights; it's her favorite.

Glancing at your phone to check the time, you notice it's almost 10:00 in the morning already. You stand up, yawn, and stretch. "Maybe I should go and get a cup of coffee...", you say to yourself quietly. You walk into your room down the hall, and move over to your closet. You swing open the doors and scan your small amount of clothes in the closet and look for your favorite shirt and pants. "I know I washed those last night... Where did I put them...", you mumble. "Ah, there they are.", you pull out a white shirt with (favorite anime character) on it. You change out of your sweatpants and pull on some blue jeans, and black flats. You walk out of your room but then dash back in remembering you forgot your jacket. You run back in and grab a gray, zip-up hoodie. You walk out of your room and close the door behind you. You walk over to the kitchen counter and grab your purse and phone. You walk out the front door, and lock the door behind you.

--at the coffee shop--

You walk into Starbucks and immediately you are surrounded by that wonderful coffee smell. It's surprisingly empty for a Saturday. You walk up to the counter and order your usual. You pay for it, and then when it's ready you go and pick it up at the other side of the counter. You're about to be on your way when you feel something on the tip of your shoe; a badly placed laptop charger. You trip over the charger, stumbling, you lose your balance and fall to the floor. "Oww...", you sit up rubbing your knee, you fell on it funny and it sure did hurt. You don't realize the guy staring down at you from the table you fell by. You look up at him, he's wearing bi-colored red and blue glasses, a black shirt with a yellow Gemini symbol, black jeans, white and black converse, and a black hoodie. He is gray-skinned with a light tint of mustard yellow. His hair is messy, and black, and on the top of his head... Horns. So he's a troll. You don't see much of them around. There are many living on earth, but they're not all that common to run into. Mostly they stay in their... Uh... What do they call them?? Hives? I think? But anyways. The troll looks down at you and gives you a questioning look. Then he shrugs and goes back to typing on his weird looking laptop. "Seriously...", you think to yourself, "not even going to ask if I'm okay, yep, that's nice." You let out an agitated sigh and bring yourself to your feet. Looking down at your hoodie, you see you spilt your coffee on it. "Shit.", you say quietly. You look back to see if any of the employees behind the counter saw what happened. None, no one was back there. They must of gone into the back to get more ingredients out or to take a break since business wasn't exactly booming at the moment. So much for asking for a new drink. You turn around to the troll, "Hey you. Is this your computer charger?", you say irritably. "Yeah, what's it matter to you?", he said lisping. "Well like you fucking saw, I tripped over it.", you said, trying not to yell. "So?", he replies. "You're not even going to say sorry, are you?"

"Nope."

"Rude...", you mumble, loud enough for him to hear you. You turn around and walk out the door of the coffee shop. "That prick owes me, whether he likes it or not.", you stomp angrily down the street, and all the way home.
