Chapter 22

Later that night Sollux walked you home. He said nothing to you and you were unsure of what to say to him. For the next couple of days, things were rather awkward between you two. You rarely texted, and you were still too embarrassed to come over and visit him. Thoughts about that night were constantly on your mind; does he have a crush on you? Would he of actually kissed you if he didn't like you in that way? AAAAAAAAAAAH. Why are trolls so confusing??? You groan in frustration.
Oh well, you need to get your mind off of things, so you jump up out of bed and change out of your pajamas. You needed to go to the store to get groceries. Since your mother is too busy to go during the day, she occasionally leaves a list of groceries at home for you, so you can go and get them for the house. You yawn and grab your house key and purse and slowly go out the door. You shut and lock it behind you and start to walk to the grocery store. Luckily there's one nearby, it's not too far of a walk.

Later on, you reach the grocery store, grab a cart, and walk inside. Your mother left you a list of things you need to get for the house. You look over the list, and start making your way around the store. You get some milk, and then you're making way down the cereal isle, when you see someone familiar. Oh shit,, of course it's him. Sollux leaned down to grab a box of Cheerio's, and then put it in his cart. He has headphones around his neck, and his hair is a mess. His glasses are resting on the tip of his nose. His eyes look tired. He probably just woke up. You leave your cart against the side of the isle, and sneak up behind him. You get as close as you can, and say, "Hey Sol!", right in his ear. He jumps and spins around to face you. "Fucking seriously, what is it with you always greeting me by scaring the shit out of me. That's not very friendly."
"Says the grump.", Sollux rolls his eyes at this response. There's an awkward silence for a while.
"Eheh, sorry.", you say shyly. This conversation isn't going well. Maybe you shouldn't have said hello and just continued to keep your distance for a while. Things between you two are still kind of awkward.
Finally Sollux speaks up, "So... I uh... Are you doing anything today?"
"Besides grocery shopping? Not really, no. I have nothing else planned. What about you?"
"Well I was thinking maybe if you wanted to, we could go to the movies or something? Maybe go out to eat... If you feel like it."
"Oh,, r-really?? Sure, I'd love to!"
"Okay, we can meet up at my place at around 6:00 pm or so. Sound good to you?"
"Yeah! I'll see you then!"
