Jacob x NB Reader ~ Protect Your Head

Prompt I made: Jacob teaches you self defense

Key: Your POV, Jacob's POV

         Today I was meeting Jacob at the gym to learn some self-defense, he told me it would be a good idea. I pushed open the door & saw Jacob in the back. He smiled & waved at me, he is such a golden retriever. I made my way over to him. 

"Hey Y/N, glad you could make it. We should start by taping your hands like mine are," he stated.

"Why?" I asked, genuinely curious.

"It protects your hands. Hands are like... paper. If you punch paper it will rip... if someone is holding it. Bad analogy, anyways. Can I wrap your hands for you?"

"You know better than I do, go ahead."

            Jacob grabbed my hand, his hands were nice. They were rough from all of his sports & work, but it was a nice rough. He wrapped my hand for a good minute before checking the wrapping by holding my hand.

"Yeah that's good, alright to the other hand," he continued.

              I blushed a little, this is really nice. I had never noticed how cute Jacob was. We were really close to each other & all I could think about was kissing him. It would be wonderful. He could hold me in his strong arms & I could melt into his embrace.

"Y/N? Earth to Y/N?" Jacob snapped me out of my fantasy.

"What?! Nothing, I'm here," I stammered.

"Alright," he laughed, "Let's begin."

                Jacob crouched a little & put his forearms in front of his face.

"Whenever you are fighting someone you'll want to get into this stance. Always protect your face, it's the part of your body with the most weaknesses. If someone lands a punch on your face, they can easily take you down. Always protect your face," he explained in a serious tone.

"Got it," I replied.

                I moved my hands to cover my face.

"Now let's practice some punches, then we can have a spar or two," Jacob explained.

                 We practiced the different kinds of punches. Initially, it was confusing but it all started making sense. Jacob held out his hands to let me practice punching. We continued this for about twenty minutes before a water break.

"Alright," Jacob said as he set down his water, "Let's start sparring, I'll go easy on you."

"Go easy on me? I'm gonna beat your ass," I jokingly flexed.

"Oh really now, get ready. Let's go right now."

                    I threw my hands up next to my face & we began sparring. I actually kept up pretty well. I swept his leg & he fell to the floor.

"I didn't teach you that," he laughed.

"I don't tell you all my secrets."

"Okay, you're going down."

                     Jacob hopped back up & I threw my arms up. He lunged forward & grabbed my arms. He pinned me to the wall. I blushed a deep red, he did the same.

"Rule number one, always protect your face. Your arms were too far from your face."

"I wasn't ready," I lied jokingly.

"You can get attacked when you aren't ready, you always have to be prepared."

"Okay, thank you Jacob."

"Can I kiss you?" he asked.

"What?" I asked in shock.

                     Jacob pulled away & let go of my arms.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."

                    I grabbed his shirt & pulled him into a kiss. A dream come true. I'm so glad I came today.
