"We're here!" Sophie shouted.
"Home sweet home my darlings!" Mom exclaimed.
I opened my eyes and saw that we're finally in San Diego, finally home. Mom had already parked the car in our garage and Rue was already awake, sitting beside me.
"Good morning sunshine!" Rue grinned.
"Welcome to San Diego, Rue!" I grinned back. I sat back up and opened the door to go out of the car, Rue following me.
Our garage is still the same old spacious one, a space wide enough for two cars to park. Dad's car wasn't home yet so I guess he's still at work. I found my purple bicycle in its usual spot, together with Sophie's pink one which looked like it had just been used two days ago. I stretched and went to get our luggage out of the trunk. Mom and Sophie just got back from the house and offered to help us.
"Honey, we're leaving after lunch. Is that okay? And your father just called, he said that he's glad your home safe, that he missed you a lot, he loves you and that he shall see you very soon." Mom smiled.
"Thanks mom. I'll just text or give a call later when he's not busy or during his break." I smiled.
"You have a beautiful house Mom." Rue smiled.
"You mean to say our house." I grinned at her.
"C'mon Rue! I'll show you your room." Sophie said, pulling Rue's hand. I could tell that she's really excited showing Rue around.
"I'd love to see it!" Rue smiled at her.

The ground floor of our two-storey house is divided into four areas - the living room, mini bar, kitchen, dining area, and my parents' room. The living room was the first thing that welcomed us. It was wide and the entire floor area was covered with a fluffy brown carpet. The flatscreen television was attached to the wall, and the sofa was laid in front of it, together with two bean bag chairs on each side - the sky blue for me, and the apple green for Sophie. The black marble center table was placed in between the sofa and flatscreen, with piles of photo albums and magazines underneath its clear glass. There was a huge chandelier hanging above the high ceiling, lighting up the whole room.
The stairs were situated across the living room and beside it were my parents' room. The kitchen, mini bar and dining areas all occupied the further end part of the ground floor. The dining area had a huge blue tinted glass window which gives us a view of our backyard. A wooden door in between the walls of the kitchen and dining area is where we pass through to get there. Our backyard lawn was covered with freshly trimmed grass and it has mini tables and chairs, and not to mention my favorite part, the Jacuzzi.

The first floor of our house is divided into five areas - my room, Sophie's room, our guest room, mini library and a balcony. My room was located on the far end together with the guest room on the opposite side; and Sophie's room is beside mine with the mini library across it; an equal pair of two rooms. The balcony is on the front part of our house, located near the stairs with a glass slide door separating it from the rest of the rooms.
