Blake’s POV
I heard a light knocking noise, followed by a door creaking open. I slowly opened my eyes to see Justin standing in my door way, leaning on the door frame.
“Did I wake you?” he asked sweetly and sincerely. I shook my head and smiled up at him. He smiled back.
“What do we have planned for today?” I asked after stretching out my tired and sore body. It had been a long night and I didn’t sleep very well.
“I was hoping we could take a walk. Is that cool with you?” Justin asked. Why did he want to spend time with me if he didn’t have to?
“Yeah, I’ll just get ready.” I replied skeptically.
“Great.” Justin said before turning around and leaving me alone to analyze what had just happened. Just 24 hours ago, Justin hated me. He was laughing because his Beliebers were sending me death threats. But now he knows about Nate and Brian. Maybe he wanted to make fun of me for it. It wouldn’t be the first time. After Nate died, Brian turned against me. So did my entire school, including the people I thought were my friends. So I dropped out and enrolled myself in homeschool. I graduated high school a year and a half early, that’s why I am not going to school now.
Shaking my head in confusion, I pushed the blankets off of my stiff body. The cold air hit me like a bus, but it felt good. It reminded me that I was alive and could still feel. Unlike Nate. God, I have to stop thinking things like that. I walked to the bathroom and noticed my appearance. I must have cried after I fell asleep because I had dried tears on my cheeks, so I jumped into the shower.
I turned the water to hot and stood under the falling water for a while. It was like I was releasing the stress. I washed everything before stepping out and wrapping my body in a towel. After I was completely dry, I ran a brush through my hair and let it air dry. I went to my closet and found the outfit I wanted to wear. After getting dressed and putting on some mascara, I was ready. I grabbed a purse and walked out of my room.
Justin was waiting for me downstairs. He had on a pair of jean shorts and a simple black V-neck. He had a blue hoodie on too. I couldn’t help checking him out when he wasn’t looking. It’s Justin Bieber! Like him or hate him, he was extremely good looking.
Justin turned to walk out of the front door. I was walking a step behind him. He led the way towards a small park in the neighborhood. We were both silent; Justin was staring ahead of him and I was staring at his back.
When we finally reached the park, Justin started walking towards a small hill that overlooked the neighborhood. When he reached the top, he sat down in the grass. I skeptically followed and did the same.
We sat in complete silence for quite some time, until Justin spoke up. “So, I brought you here because I wanted to talk.” He said, still staring straight ahead towards the swings at the playground.
“What do you want to talk about?” I asked. This gained a simple shrug from Justin as he continued to look straight ahead of him.
“I guess, just about us.” he finally responded.
“Is there an us?” I shot back at him. He let my comment sink in and took a deep breath before turning to me and looking at me for the first time in a while.
“I might want there to be.” He stated, looking me dead in the eyes. I could feel my cheeks getting hotter and I used all of the energy I had on this early morning to keep the red away.
“You have a funny way of showing it.” I mumbled before turning away from him and staring at the swings. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw him scoot closer to me.
