Blake’s POV

My mind was awake, but my body wasn’t. My eyes simply wouldn’t open; they felt like 20 pound weights. After some time, I gained enough coherence and opened my eyes a crack. My vision was blurry and I couldn’t make out where I was. The pounding in my head increased with the sudden change of light. After a few blinks, my eyes cleared out and I saw that I was on a bed, in a room that I didn’t recognize. I turned, extremely slowly, to my side, only to practically jump out of bed. There was a boy laying at my side with no shirt on and hair sticking up everywhere. I couldn’t see his face since it was buried into the pillow.

My breath hitched in my throat as I looked down, to see that my body was still fully clothed. My entire body relaxed in a second, but instantly tensed again when the boy’s body started to move in the bed.

He rolled over and opened his mouth to let out a low groan.

“Oh my god-“ I mumbled when I finally caught a glimpse of who my bed partner was.

“Don’t talk so loud.” Liam growled from the bed while rubbing his temples.

“What the hell happened?” I asked myself. Liam heard too and slowly sat up in bed.

“Great party, huh?” he said with a smirk, completely ignoring my question.

“Do you even remember any of it?” I asked because I sure didn’t remember anything.

“No, that’s how I know it was good!” he replied cockily. I rolled my eyes and slowly picked myself out of bed to find my shoes and cell phone so I could leave and go back to my apartment. I couldn’t find either at first glance.

I finally found my heels a few feet away from the bed.

“Have you seen my phone?” I asked Liam, annoyed.

“Oh yeah, I put it on the nightstand.” He said, pointing to the table next to him.  “It was ringing all night!”

“Well, do you know who was calling?” I asked with a sense of urgency.

“I’m not sure, but I think it was Justin. He kept talking about some picture and wanting you to call him back.” Liam explained.

“What?” I questioned.

“Look, I just woke up with a major hangover. Go figure it out for yourself.” He said while shooing me out the door. I made my way out the door. I picked up my heels and phone before walking out of the bedroom. I slowly walked down the stairs and out the door of his apartment building after taking the elevator down to the lobby.

I knew where I was well enough to be able to get back to my apartment building so I started walking with my heels in one of my hands with my phone in the other.

My phone randomly dinged, telling me that I had a missed call. Sure enough, I had 12 text messages, 14 missed calls, and 4 voicemails. All from Justin. My phone really must have been ringing all night.

“What the hell?” I asked myself for what seemed like the thousandth time. I started reading the text messages.

From: Justin

Are you going to call?

From: Justin

Why is some guy answering your phone?

From: Justin

BLAKE!!

From: Justin

Why aren’t you answering your fucking phone?

I was extremely confused when I read the very first text he sent me.

From: Justin

How could you do that to me?

I read it and furrowed my eyebrows. What was he talking about?

I took the elevator up to my floor while listening to the voicemails. They were basically the same thing as the texts, just Justin yelling at me to call him back.

I opened my room door, still completely confused, to see Hazel sitting at the kitchen counter on one of the bar stools.

“She’s alive!” she exclaimed when I walked in and set my heels on the ground by the front door.

“Barely.” I told her while she handed me a cup of coffee.

“Drink this and take these.” She instructed while also handing me 2 pills. I thanked her and downed the pills with a huge gulp of coffee.

“What happened last night?” I asked her.

“Well, Chase and I left around 12, while you were on your 5th cup of whatever they were serving.” She told me, making me want to throw up.

“Did I do anything, I don’t know, embarrassing?” I asked, scared to hear her response.

“Not that I saw. Chase said you were with Liam practically the whole night, which I don’t believe since you two don’t seem to get along too well.” she said absentmindedly.

Something clicked in my mind when she mentioned this. I unlocked my phone and scrolled through last night’s texts.

“Crap.” I muttered when my eyes hit a text that I sent Justin at around 1 in the morning. It was a picture of Liam shoving his tongue down my throat. I had my arms around his back and there was no denying that I was kissing him back.

“What is it?” Hazel asked curiously.

“I have to go.” I said while placing my phone down on the counter. She reached over and grabbed it to look at what was on it. I ran up the stairs and into my closet before I could see her reaction to the picture. I grabbed the nearest things off the hangers and quickly changed out of my alcohol smelling clothes. I also grabbed a large, green bag to throw some things in.

Hazel ran in after me as I was washing my face and brushing my hair and teeth in the bathroom.

“You have to go where?” she asked worriedly.

“Boston. That’s where he is today.” I told her, hoping that I had the right city of Justin’s tour schedule.

“Are you sure about this?” she asked, trying to calm me down.

“Hazel, I think I cheated on my boyfriend last night. I have to go.” I said, looking her right in the eyes. I felt my own eyes sting with tears.

“Yeah, um, I’ll drive you to the airport.” She said softly while following me out of the bathroom and down the stairs. I slipped on some ankle, military style boots and was ready to go.

Hazel didn’t say a word for the entire ride. I stared out the window while biting my nails. How could I have done something so stupid?

“Thanks.” I muttered while opening up the car door to get ready to run into the airport.

“Wait, Blake. I’m sure everything will be fine.” Hazel said with a small smile.

“I hope.” I said, not believing her. I smiled softly at her before taking off towards the airport doors. I ran through the few people to the desk that sold tickets.

“I need one ticket on the next flight to Boston.” I demanded while pulling my wallet from my purse and slapping my credit card on the counter.
