Part 6: prom?

There it was. Monday. you couldn't get your kiss with Eddie out of your head. It felt good, no it felt amazing. Like you were floating.
Like time stopped the moment you locked lips. Lips locking like puzzle pieces that belonged together.

And you couldn't stop thinking about what your douchebag boyfriend told you. That you shouldn't blame him if he fucked another girl.
And yet you were the one making out with Eddie "the freak" Munson

School started and the first two hours you just had practice. You did your thing trying not make a scene.

After practice you walked up to table seeing notes on the table. Flyers to be precise.
"Summer prom, a summer fairytale in Hawkins"
You read out loud. "There quit early with these, aren't they?"
You heard a giggle from one of the girls.
You looked up and saw your boyfriend walking in with the biggest sign carried by some of boys from the basketball team

He stood on the table and signed you to come join him. You shyly climbed up the table.

"Y/N, my sweet, beautifull Y/N. Would you make the happiest boy in Hawkins and join me for prom?" Pulling out a heart necklace.
You were left speechless. He did this publicly.
"I'm so sorry for what I said."

That is when your realised, there were no feelings...
But you felt quilty and blurted out a "yes"

As he took you in his arms you saw Eddie grabbing his stuff. You watched as he walked away hearing your boyfriend scream in victory, turning you around to put on the necklace.

When you two climbed down the table he just started to high five the boys. And the girls all wanted to see your necklace.

You excused yourself as your boyfriend was celebrating more with his friends then with you. So he wouldn't even notice that you were gone.

You ran after Eddie.
"Stop" you screamed to the empty hall with only Eddie in it.
He stopped and turned around.

"It was all a game to you, wasn't it Y/N." He throws his hands up in the air.
"It's always a game for all of you populair kids."

You wanted to say something but before you could he interrupted you again.
"I really thought you were different." He started shaking his head
"I really thought maybe she is being for real, she's not playing. She likes me."

His eyes dropped to the ground.
This was it. You completely broke.

"You think this is easy for me." Feeling it all burning up. All that has been building up after the kiss.
"You think I can just drop everything and run after a freak that stole my heart after two times of hanging out?"
Now you were the one crying.

"You don't know what my life is like." Walked up to him
"Hell you don't even KNOW ME." You screamed walking away.
"Nobody does" you screamed as you left the building.
