part 29: good guy

You walked out of the office and saw your mom and Dustin with an officer. Your mom had clearly been crying and she had this angry look on her face.

''what do you mean I can't see my daughter, she has every right to have her mom there.'' You cleared your throat to show that you got out the room and your mom run up to you. ''They think I killed Chrissy and the rest, I can't say anything but they are going to talk to you.'' You hugged your mom but you noticed it was more to comfort her then that it was to comfort you. ''I'm innoncent mom so there is nothing to worry about. Just go and talk to them.'' your mom nodded and took Dustin's hand before walking inside to talk the chief and the others.

The officer that had just been talking with your mom asked you to sit down and wait until the were finished and you nicely did what they asked. You wondered what they were asking and were wondering if you had to come clean about Eddie to your mom. Which considering maybe wouldn't be a bad thing. But maybe she wasn't going to be too happy about you dating a alleged serial killer. It took awhile so you had all the time to be alone with your thoughts. Unfornately your head was a war zone. All these thoughts keep overflowing.

It would better if you didn't see Eddie for awhile and another victim had fallen. And it was a friend of Jason so he's probably even more balistic then he already was. But also this was already the third victim. And he was getting way to close to you and Max. One of you was next, you were certain.

After a good and very long half an hour you brother and mom got out. ''Y/N they are putting you and Eddie on house arrest.'' you shook your head no. This wasn't going to be possible. You needed to safe Max.

You got and went to your room. ''Not so fast Y/N.'' she said calling you downstairs. ''I just want to be alone mom. I'm tired down.'' You tried to explain and avoid the talk. ''Just a quick talk honey.'' her tone had already changed. You knew that she cared for you and she was probably just stressed out too, so you listened and sat down. Dustin, the good kid he is, made tea. But it was probably so he could just hear the talk you were about to have.

''Y/N, did Eddie kill those kids?'' She looked you dead in the eyes. You could see that she found it a hard question to ask but she just needed to hear it from you. ''No, Eddie is a good guy. He wouldn't hurt a fly. He is just Eddie, a little weird but the softest guy on the inside.'' She sighed and nodded. The weight fell of her shoulders. ''Are you two, like uh, together?'' she asked.

Honestly you didn't even know yourself because you hadn't had the chance to talk about anything else. You only had a few happy and worry free moments. ''We have been seeing eachother more then when I drop of Dustin.'' You thought this was a good answer to explain what was going on.

she just nodded and looked like she needed some to progress what you had just said and finally sighed to let it all go. ''Is he treating you right?'' Flashbacks came flashing through. ''Yes mom, better than Dean.'' you said full of confidence. Your mom looked at Dustin. ''You knew about all this?'' you laughed at the change of his face. ''Yeah''

''no more secrets Y/N, I'm your mom and we're going to be just fine. After this I'd like to invite Eddie over for dinner.'' you went up to your mom and gave her a big hug. ''I'm going to upstairs, just chill for a bit.''

you walked upstairs and Dustin quickly followed you. You hoped for one chill day but of course it wasn't meant to be. His walky went crazy with sounds. The were clearly trying to get your attention. ''We're going to use Max as bait!'' they said. You were confused. ''You guys are going to do what?'' You stole the walky out of his hands making him scream ''hey!'' out loud. ''This sounds like a very very bad plan.'' You stated. But the started disagreeing. You heard a voice in the back protest and grab the walky. ''It's fine Y/N, I got my music. But if we don't try to kill Vecna now he will kill me.'' Max said. ''Max why are you okay with this, I'm sure we can do something else.'' The line went silent.

''You guys should just come to Mike.'' He rolled your eyes in annoyance. ''I can't I'm on house arrest. The police are watching me.'' the line went silent again. ''you too Y/N?'' a familair voice said. ''Eddie?'' you asked. ''Yeah, they put me on house arrest too. But we found out that my house has a portal to the upside down. I'd be home, technically.'' So he was planning on going back to the upside down too. This was completely mental. ''We're coming over.'' You said giving Dustin his walky back and grabbing a bag packing it with some helpful stuff. Anything that might be usefull.

You gave Dustin his bat and told him to sneak away with you quietly. You were going to lock your door and be back before your mom went asleep. Hopefully the plan was going to work. But for some reason you had this knot in your stomach. It wasn't going to be just hiding for your mom but also the police. Sneaking out would make you look even more guilty but you needed to help Max.

So you locked the door and the moment you heard Dustin shut the front door you jumped on the roof. You closed your window leaving a tiny peak to open it again later. You looked back and shook your head to confirm to yourself that what you were going to do was plainly stupid.
