The moment you crashed into bed your eyelids got too heavy and you fell right back to sleep. You cuddled to Eddie's chest. Your decision was final, you were all in. You had fallen for him. He had your entire heart and everything else he wants to have, it's his.
Your alarm clock woke you up, disturbing your peaceful sleep. When you woke Eddie was gone. You were slightly dissapointed but maybe it was for the better. Hopefully Dustin didn't notice anything. A knock followed your alarm and your mom was standing in the door frame. You got kind of nervous because maybe she noticed something.
''The school is closed of for a bit.'' She looked to the ground nervously. ''There is somebody missing. They're expecting the worst.'' Your mind immediately went to Eddie. He probably just went home to safe you two trouble but you were scared that the police came knocking to him first. Hopefully he was home by that time because it would be even worse if he wasn't home when they came knocking.
''We have a town meeting in an hour. I want you two to join.'' she didn't ask, she said with a serious tone, one she hasn't used for a long time. The last time was when you looked away for a little too long when Dustin was 4 and he had walked away for the playground, loosing him for a good half an hour. After that half an hour he was just sitting on a curb singing his favorite song, unaware of what had happened.
You two got the scolding of your life. ''please were something decent, Y/N help your brother.'' she looked at Dustin. ''No hat and style your hair.'' she pointed at you to make her point. You already knew it cost a lot of strength to say this, so you behaved and did what she asked. You got into a dress, put on some light make up and made sure that your hair was in a neat ponytail with a bow. Now it was Dustin's turn. You picked at his hair and made sure there were no wild strants sticking out everywhere. You have him his polo and some black pants and shoes that weren't covered in mud and everything else.
''You too look great, almost like were going to church.'' She said. The only time Dustin would let you do his hair was when it was christmas, when visiting grandma or his first date with Suzie. Differently nobody was getting there hands in his precious curls.
You drove your mom and Dustin to the town hall were the mayor and chief of police were going to make an announcement.
When everybody was sat down, the room felt empty because you missed Eddie. He should've came. But the room got even more quiet when his uncle walked in. All eyes were on him.He ignored the stairs and sat down in an empty chair, that just so happened to be behind you. You felt his eyes stare into your back.
You let out a sigh as the chief finally went up to the microphone and after a few taps on the mic to check if it's working.
"Good morning folks, I'm sure all of you know what is going on. And by this we have decided to put on a curfew." The room filled with sounds. Some of them agreeing and most of them not knowing if it was the right choice."We think if the killer is still out there." He said loudly to break all the sounds. "It's safer for everyone at home." He looked around with a stern look. "Not only we'll have a curfew but classes will be continued at home. We'll make sure that everyone has the books they need to keep learning." Some people didn't get the memo and a girl that you knew was in your math class raised her hand.
"Does this mean we can't go to school?" She asked. "Yes, this means the school is closed." The rage filled the room again. "So because that Eddie boy can't stop killing my child will have to ruin her school." A angry man stood up.
You looked at him angry when he said Eddie's name. Hopefully not everyone in this room thinks Eddie is killing people. His uncle gave annoyed chuckle. The chief cleared his throat. But before he could say anything a women stood up.
"Is he not here because he's finally in jail?" She said in a worried tone but somehow you found no sympathy for her. "He clearly killing our kids. Our babies." Another women said. You now let out annoyed sign to and wanted to stand up but your mom stopped you. "Y/N, be smart." She just said. Ofcourse she had heard the rumours, the rumours that.
"But his girlfriend is here, so maybe we should ask her." A man said. "That's out of context." The officer said. Shutting the man up immediately.
Your mom squeezed your hand to keep you calm. The mayor talked about staying strong and about how we should stay connected and united. You found it ironic as they are blaming one of there own and bully him out,
You heard the chair behind you move and somebody clear his throat. It was Eddie's uncle.
"Your not going to listen, but the police has already came and talk to Eddie. And for what it's worth. He is not a killer, maybe he's an outsider, a weirdo but he is not a killer. And." You heard angry build in his voice this time. Replacing the calm voice that he had tried to keep."And he's actually a great guy once you get to know him." You stood up finishing his uncle's sentence. "He has done everything to make my brother and his friends feel welcome in Hawkins High. Playing there game with bothering anyone." You looked at Eddie's uncle. "I have never seen him get mad."
"She's probably killing with him. She is in his stupid cult and you can she he has her wrapped around his finger." A man said and you some people nodding in agreement.
"Is that why you left Dean, to whore around with a serial killer." This time it was Dean's mom standing up. Looking at you."Don't talk to my daughter that way." Your mom this time stood up. "It's fine mom, we should leave." Your grabbed Dustin's hand and walked out. You saw Mike's mom comfort your mom as they walked out.
An officer came up to you and asked if you could come in for a talk. The chief walked in and sat down.
"Thank you for talking to us." You nodded. "Uhm I'm just going to get straight to the point. Where we you last night." You looked down."At home." You simply replied. "Anyone that can confirm this statement?" You nodded. "Who?" Of course was the next question.
"My brother. Who hasn't able to sleep alone for a while so he sleeps in my room."
"Anybody else Y/N." You now figured that the reason that Eddie wasn't there was because he was getting interrogated and that he just you as an alibi. The truth but the dumb truth.
"Yes Eddie Munson." You said trying to act like it was no big deal. If it wasn't suspected enough it was going to be known as the serial killers girlfriend. It was out and now you had to deal with it.
"Y/N, we don't like to do this, but you're under investigation on the murder of Chrissy Cunningham, Fred Benson and Patrick McKinney. Were going to ask your brother in, were going to ask you not to talk to him anymore until we are finished talking. Thank you Y/N."
Oh how did one night of jealousy end in you being investigated on being a murder, you don't know. But it was going to be hard.
