Part 12: Nancy Wheeler

After classes you waited for the boys and told then that he wasn't were you expected him to be.

Dustin started freaking out. The boys weren't exactly helping. Telling him that he always like this and that it isn't helping.
You grabbed his shoulders and looked him in the eyes.
"Dusty, we'll find him." You hold out your pinky, he linked his pinky into it. Sealing your promise.

They decided to go to Mike's house. To make a plan. And to see if Nancy wanted to help.
Nancy and you used to be good friends. You actually formed a great trio with Barb. But since that stupid upside thing she was ripped away. Before that you guys had a fall out because how she was acting when Steve was around.
That one night I decided not to come because of the fight. I wish I had.. then Barb would've been here still. But it's already done. Nothing you can change about it.

But she was a nice person and if you had to listen to your gut, we needed all the help we could get.

You walked in and greeted ms Wheeler with a big smile. You guys had made up that you were going to help with home work.
You walked downstairs to the basement, Mike called it is man cave. You corrected to boys cave because of all the toys laying around and the nerdy stuff.

Mike grabbed a big piece of paper and Will took his crayons.
He sketched out a small map of Hawkins. Putting the school right in the middle.
You decided to team up in pairs of two.

That was when Nancy walked down with Jonathan.
She looked at you and raised her eyebrows.
"Y/N?" He spook up breaking your silence. You gave her a small awkward wave.

"Hi, Nancy. Long time no see." You stood up as you wanted to shake Jonathans hand. You knew that he was Will's brother but you hadn't seen him that much. You politely introduced yourself.

You sat down again, talking your plan over. Even though Nancy didn't know Eddie she was determined to help you guys and help you guys find him.
"Don't we have the best siblings." Dustin yelled excited as he put his hand in for a high five.

"Y/N, can we talk?" You looked her way and looking to boys. As they were still just staring at you guys. "In private?" She finished with a cough.
You guys stood up and walked to her room. Sitting down on her bed.

"So.." she started. Not knowing what to say. You stayed silent to. You guys had missed eachother but didn't want to give into it.
"Dating Dean right?" You looked at her. There was no need for this right now. You just had Eddie in your head.

"Dated. We broke up." You corrected. Nancy could only let out a "oh"
"Jonathan is a nice person." You start to not let the convo die.
"Yea, he is just amazing. He treats me right." You told her that you were happy for her.

"Why did you never come to help, you know with Barb." She said without a single stutter. You looked up. Tears starting to from in your eyes.

"I guess I didn't want to believe that she was gone." You looked down as tear fell. "And if she was gone, not in some crazy world with monsters. I was just as oblivious as our parents." You chuckled.

"I wish I had been there for Dustin, for you." You looked at her and saw that she was now crying to. "I just couldn't. I still blame myself. If I would've come to that stupid party with you guys."
You kept blubbering out words untill Nancy stopped you.

"I've blamed myself for so long. Sometimes the feeling creeps up again." She sighed "but I've learned that it wasn't anyone's fault expect for what is down there. That's who I blame." She finished, wiping your tears away.

"You should learn that too." You just flew into her arms hugging her tightly.
"I've missed you so much nancy. And I miss Barbs everyday." You let go of the hug looking her in the eyes. Nancy was now crying as hard as you were.

"I missed you too. The only thing we can do for barb is find revenge and keep her memory alive."
You nodded as you agreed. Over time you will learn that isn't your fault. It'll be okay.

"But what changed that you're helping the boys?" Nancy asked. And she had every right.

"For Eddie." You just said. Ofcourse raising even more questions at Nancy's side.
"We don't even know if it's anther stupid action of those monsters. Maybe he just had enough and he ran away."
You started panicking again. You didn't want to loose Eddie too. Not in the same way as Barb. Not again.

"Maybe Y/N. We'll find your.. " leaving a blank to fill in your status with Eddie.
You grew red. "friend, my friend Eddie."
"Are you sure?" She laughed as she grabbed your cheeks as a sign that you had gone tomato red.
"It doesn't matter. If we don't find him he is gone be gone for good."
You stated to make sure that guys didn't drift off too much.

"Y/N, can we just forget what happened between us. Friends again?" You took her hand. "I'll never not been your friend."
