You guys discussed some plans but decided to lay low. It was the best plan but walking right into that portal wasn't either.
Will's mom had been on the phone with Hopper a lot so it was Will's job to find out about what. Maybe it was about the same thing.

Jonathan and Nancy had a part time job together at the news paper. So it was there job to do some investigation and research. They already heard about some weird chemical eating rat so maybe it's related.

It was your job to keep Eddie calm and wait till understood everything so that you and boys go around town to search for more portals.

"How come you kids know all about this but the police is just completely clueless?" Eddie implied.
"Well Hopper knows?" You said "And they army has been involved once already. But there or also a lot of government people that know about it?" This didn't seem to help Eddie understand.

"The government?" Eddie repeated. You just nodded. "Y/N, how are you calm under all this?"
You giggled.

"Beside the fact that I'm just a very calm person." Dustin laughed as he knew that that wasn't the truth at all. You weren't the calmest person, you're actually a ball of anxiety, if you had asked him.
"But I had this moment too. My little brother had told me that some monster had tried to kill him. That they had been hiding a girl with powers in this basement. I was on edge.."

"But I was that much on a edge, that I decided to not believe, instead of seeking revenge for Barb and protecting my brother." You looked down. This was the truth.
"But I'm not planning in making the same mistake again. This time it's all hands on deck." You pointed your fist to Dustin for a fist bump. And he just jumped in for a hug.

"She is the best." He kissed your cheek. He wasn't afraid to show affection to his big sis. "Always have been." Normal teenage boys would have been more like Mike. You had seen them hug like twice.
Eddie took Dustin's head between his arm and started knuckling his head.

"You don't even know how lucky you are with a sister like Y/N." He started play fighting. You absolutely adored them together. And that made Eddie 10x more attractive then he already was. They let go of eachother laughing really hard.
You walked away when Nancy waved you over. She probably found something.

"You will take care of Y/N, right?" Dustin turned serious. "When I'm not there. She deserves the world."
Eddie's face turned into this suprised and serious face when he asked.

"She does. I'll never hurt her and I'll make sure that nobody will lay a finger on her.'' Eddie explained. Dustin held out his pinky for a pinky promise and Eddie didn't even hesitate for a second too take it.

''but if I don't, what will you do, are you going to hurt me?'' he joked as he tackled him to the ground playing fighting again to break the serious mood. But it went back to serious quickly when you and Nancy came back. And you had new information. Nancy cleared her throat to get everyone's attention.

''We put the walkie's on the police line, and there is a body found. One of the police officer's say she brutally mutilated. We don't who she is, but I don't think it's a coincidence.'' she looked down. Everybody knew what she was going to say. We needed to find out what did this. Your reasonable mind went to an actual murderer. Maybe someone in Hawkins just lost there mind and actually started killing people. Maybe it wasn't the stupid upside down creatures who did it. But as much as you liked to deny it, it couldn't be a coincidence.

''Eddie and I are going to look for portals.'' you looked at him. ''Nancy and Jonathan are going to the crime scene. Pretending to be reporters. Try to overhear what happened and take a look at the body.'' you saw Mike's mouth opening, but before he could say anything you stopped him.
