7: Liam

After the class, every student in the classroom has left. Adeline left early while the rest of the group stayed for a while. Rennard finished some doodles on his notebook before deciding to leave the classroom. Arbulet and Vesper had a chat before leaving the classroom. Vesper called Liam and asked him to walk home together. Liam agreed and kept all of his things in his bag before leaving the classroom.

On their way home, Vesper is first to be separated because Vesper's home is the closest to the school. Arbulet and Liam talked together while walking to their homes.

Liam: So, speaking of doing things for fun, what's your hobby?

Arbulet: Just chillin'

Liam: What? *chuckles*

Arbulet: Just kidding. I'm not quite sure, but I like being an enthusiast in a particular thing.

Liam: Such as?

Arbulet: Hmmm, maybe games. I'm pretty good at playing some board games.

Liam: That's awesome! Have you tried the magic scrabble?

Arbulet: I've heard of the game scrabble, but this magic scrabble seems new to me.

Liam: Well, it's basically like the scrabble, but you can only spell out terms related to magic spells.

Arbulet: I don't think I'm going to be good at that.

Liam: You won't know unless you try!

Arbulet: How about you? What's your hobby?

Liam: Well, I usually take a stroll in my free time. I do it a lot on Wind Island. I also like to explore, so I think I'll be exploring Dark Island during my stay here.

Arbulet: That's neat. Oh, by the way, I'll get going here now.

Liam: You're heading to the forest.

Arbulet: I'm living in a small cabin that my friend is not using.

Liam: In the middle of the forest? Don't you think it's dangerous out there? Come with me.

Arbulet: Where are we going?

Liam: I'm staying at a hotel for three months. My room has two beds because I'm supposed to have a roommate, but my roommate did not come to this Island. It would be best if you stayed in my room, it's much safer.

Arbulet: No, it's fine. I know how to protect myself.

Liam: I insist. Come with me.

Arbulet: Well, okay then. Thanks.

Liam: Then we can try playing the magic scrabble in my room!

Arbulet and Liam walked home together and went to the town. Liam treated Arbulet to a nearby fast-food restaurant before making their way to the hotel. After a long day, Liam and Arbulet finally arrived at Liam's hotel room. 

Arbulet is amazed that Liam has such a nice room. Liam thanked Arbulet for the compliment, but he explained afterward that the Wind School paid for the hotel room. Liam took out a scrabble game kit from a shelf, and they started playing together.

After some time, Liam won the game with the most points. Arbulet is disappointed and tells Liam that he doesn't know much about magical terms. Liam comforts Arbulet and tells him that everyone excels in a particular thing. Arbulet thanks Liam for the comfort.

Liam and Arbulet retreated to their beds. They had a conversation before sleeping. Liam asks Arbulet if he has known Vesper for a long time. Arbulet replied that Vesper was his childhood friend. He begins to tell the story of how he met Vesper 10 years ago.

Liam notices something in Arbulet's words and tone of voice, and he clearly knows that Arbulet has developing feelings for Vesper. Liam would want to tell Arbulet about it, but Liam doesn't want to ruin the moment.

The room went silent for minutes until Liam spoke. Liam tells Arbulet that it's been a long time since he developed romantic feelings for someone. Arbulet did not reply, and a sound of snoring could be heard from Arbulet's bed. Liam realizes that Arbulet has already fallen asleep and thinks that Arbulet may not have listened to what he said. Liam closes his eyes and goes to sleep as well.

The next morning, Liam wakes up and panics that he may have woken up late for school. Arbulet is sitting on a chair, taking a sip of his coffee at a nearby table. Arbulet calms Liam down and tells him that it's the weekend. Liam realizes it as well and feels at ease after learning that school is closed for the day. Arbulet asks Liam to take a morning jog together. Liam agrees and gets up from his bed. Liam prepares his outfit and cleans up before taking a morning jog together with Arbulet.

While taking a morning jog, Arbulet and Liam encounter Vesper and Maia in the town. They all greeted each other. Arbulet asked them what they were doing in the town. Vesper says that Maia wanted to try the product sold by the newly opened teashop in the town, so Vesper came along to try it as well. 

Liam and Arbulet are curious about the product and tried it as well. After a short queue, the group bought themselves a Milktea. The group sat at a nearby vacant table. Maia tells them that a family from Water Island has moved to Dark Island and opened a new teashop in the town. Maia also states that the family is great at creating tea products, so Maia wanted to know if the family is really great at creating tea products. Maia is satisfied that the rumors are true.

Arbulet crossed eyes with one of the male staff of the teashop. Arbulet started to feel that he knew the guy but was pretty sure he hadn't met the male staff before. The male staff also stared at Arbulet for a long time until the staff got out of the teashop and approached their table.
