Agents Midnight, Houndbite, Kirbrine, Crimson, and Bloodlust are having a night snack in the Dining Room of Ylhaya Facility. They are sitting together at a single small table. They are discussing whether they stay in the facility until their contract ends. Agent Kirbrine says that they should maximize their time because of free food and stuff.
Agent Bloodlust is worried about his girlfriend Agent Crimson if they returned to their normal lives because she will be vulnerable to the attack of Adrian Lynch. Agent Bloodlust says they have to stay in the facility to protect Agent Crimson.
Agent Crimson says that she can protect herself because she's been trained for magic combat. Agent Bloodlust objects and tells her they don't know how powerful Adrian Lynch is. Agent Crimson just stares at Agent Bloodlust and decides to remain silent even though she has many words to say to defend herself.

Aria (Agent Crimson): *sigh* I can control my powers.
Rennard (Agent Bloodlust): We don't know how powerful Adrian Lynch. Being able to control your powers does not mean that you can overpower him.
//The room becomes silent until Vesper changes the topic//
Vesper (Agent Houndbite): Anyways... There's something I need to tell you and I will be needing your help.
Arbulet (Agent Midnight): What is it?
Vesper: Well... Maia (Agent Monday) is coming in two days.
Liam (Agent Kirbrine): Oh, right! I almost forgot that her birthday is in two days!
Aria: Really? How old is she in two days?
Vesper: She's turning sixteen years old. And I want you guys to help me celebrate her birthday here in the facility. Vianne says we can maximize the use of our contract and I think we can use some of the materials we have in this facility to celebrate her birthday.
Arbulet: Not a problem at all.
Rennard: Yep! We're going to give her the best birthday celebration.
Liam: I'm on it. I'm almost finished making her a gift.
Vesper: Great! Thank you, guys. I just want to give my sister a great birthday celebration.

After the conversation, the group proceeds to make a detailed plan for the birthday celebration. They brainstormed ideas and designed the venue. The group decided to do the celebration in the cafeteria and they will have to request permission from Vianne to use the cafeteria as a celebration venue.

Arbulet, Vesper, Liam, Rennard, and Aria can be seen preparing the cafeteria for the birthday celebration tomorrow. They are permitted by Vianne to use the cafeteria. They are modifying the placement of the tables and other furniture. They cannot put up the designs yet so Maia will remain unaware that they are preparing for her birthday.
Adeline enters the cafeteria and noticed that everyone is preparing for something.

Rennard: Oh! Hey, Adeline!
Adeline: Hi. What are you doing?
Rennard: We're preparing for Maia's birthday tomorrow. Please don't tell Maia about this.
Adeline: Oh, no worries. I'm leaving this facility today.
Rennard: Oh... Why?
Adeline: Vianne says we have a choice to leave the facility now or wait for the contract to end. Well, I am choosing to leave the facility now. I still have studies to finish.
Rennard: I see.
Adeline: By the way, I wanted to give this to you.
//Adeline hands over a gift box to Rennard//
Rennard: What is this?
Adeline: Don't open it yet. Open it after I leave.
Rennard: Okay.
Adeline: I always wanted to give it to you when we are still in Dark Island's School. I couldn't just get the right time to give it to you.
Rennard: Well, you could alw--
Adeline: Shush. You don't need to reply or explain. I just want to let you know. I just want you to know that thank you for being a good friend... to me. I received a letter that related to my studies and we won't be classmates anymore.
Rennard: Wait what? Why?
Adeline: It's... It's a personal reason. Don't worry about me, I will still finish my studies but I won't be in the same school as yours anymore.
Rennard: ...
Adeline: Well then, goodbye Rennard.
//Adeline walks out of Cafeteria as she's holding back her tears//
//Aria is seen from afar, observing the conversation the whole time//
Vesper: Hey, what was that?
Rennard: Adeline is leaving today.
Vesper: Oh. That's right, she told me a few weeks ago that she's leaving this facility as soon as possible after all the missions.
//Rennard opens the gift box//
//The gift box contains a portrait of Rennard, sketched in fine charcoal material//
Aria: You look so good-looking in that portrait.
Rennard: It was Adeline who drew this.
Aria: Yep. She's a great artist. It looks like she is a close friend of yours.
Rennard: Yes. We are classmates for a decade.
Aria: I think you should give her a proper farewell.
Rennard: What do you mean?
Aria: Before you met me, your closest friend is Adeline. She was there during your toughest times. She was always there by your side. She is always on the lookout for you. She cares for you. It must be really painful for Adeline to lose you.
Rennard: Wait... Does it mean... She...
Aria: Yes. I know that you love me, but if you truly love me, you will do this for me. I can understand the pain she's going through and I don't want your friend to hide that pain.
Rennard: Then... I need to catch up to her!
Aria: Go for it. Do this for me, and both of you.
//Rennard runs away and tries to find Adeline//

Rennard checks every room of the Ylhaya Facility but couldn't find her anywhere. Rennard entered Adeline's room but the room is now empty. Adeline is nowhere to be found. Rennard even went to ask help from Vianne for Adeline's whereabouts. Vianne has informed Rennard that Adeline has already departed from the facility.
Rennard feels sad and devastated for being too late. Rennard is guilty of not realizing Adeline's feelings for him. Rennard feels guilty that Adeline has to hide her feelings for so long.
