____________Brie was in her room, folding away her clothes when she felt it. She didn't have time to even turn to see it but she didn't need to look. She stopped the object from flying into the back of her head using her new found skills she's learned and slowly turned to face it.
The small knife hovered in the air in front of her, only inches away from her face. She titled her head and took it out of the air, studying it in her hands. She looked to see where it had come from.
The door of her room was wide open, with nothing but darkness behind it.
She walked closer, ready to have her wings out at any moment. Taking a step into the darkness, she noticed a boy, sitting on a chair among the darkness.
Only as she walked closer she saw that was wasn't just sitting, he was tied to the chair with a piece of tape to cover his mouth.
He tried screaming as tears streamed down his face but it came out muffled.
It was Stiles.
She hadn't seen his face since she left him that night at the start of Summer. She didn't want this to be how she saw him again. There were no tears in her eyes but she had to protect him.
A ring of fire formed around him and Brie instantly turned around to face the man doing this. Just as she suspected he was standing there.
Her father.
His face was not clear. It never was. He only wore and suit and had black hair but no facial features.
Her father held up his hand, ready to strike.
Brie turned to Stiles and let her wings out, flying over to him as fast as she could. Through the flames that surrounded him.
Once she reached him, she stood behind him and covered them both, using her wings as a shield.
Once she felt the blow she uncovered her self and flew up, her eyes turning yellow with a halo and devil horns forming on her forehead.
She turned the ground to ice around her, getting rid of the ring of fire and flew down closer to face her father.
"I will never join you," she said to him. She felt him trying to get into her mind but she's had practice with this.
She closed her eyes and barricaded her mind, not letting him in. She was stronger now then she was before. She won't let it effect her.
When she opened her eyes again he was gone. In his place was Uriel.
They were standing in the training area.
Brie panted heavily. "What happened to not using Stiles in my simulations anymore?" she asked, wiping the sweat from her forehead.
"Well, seeing as it's your last one I thought I'd throw him in," Uriel responded.
"My last one?" Brie repeated, letting her wings disappear. "I'm leaving?"
Uriel nodded in response. Unlike what Brie expected, Uriel was vicious. She was actually one of the protectors of heaven. She had grown close with her over the Summer and will be sad to have to leave her.
