Everyone in the classes phone suddenly went off so all the students took out their phones. Just as Brie began to read the text a voice came.

"The offing was barred by a black bank of clouds and the tranquil waterway, leading to the uttermost ends of the earth flowed somber under an overcast sky, seemed to lead into the heart of the immense darkness," a women read out the text, walking into the classroom.

It must've been there new teacher.

"This is the last line of the first book we are going to read," she continued. "It is also the last text you will receive in this class. Phones off, everyone."

Brie did as she was told and placed her phone faced down on the table in front of her.

As the lesson went on, Brie noticed Stiles kept looking in her direction. Half way through the lesson Scott was called out of class by the teacher.

A few minutes went by and Stiles finally spoke to her.

"Brie," he whispered quietly so that the teacher wouldn't hear. "Can we talk?"

Brie nodded and pursed her lips. She knew they had to eventually. "After school," she whispered back.

Just as she looked away she heard Stiles speak again.

"Hey, Lydia," he said, still in a whisper. "What is that? Is that from the accident?"

He pointed to the plaster on her ankle. She definitely didn't have that yesterday.

"No," she responded. "Prada bit me."

"Your dog?" Stiles asked.

"No, my designer handbag," she responded sarcastically. "Yes, my dog."

"But Prada's super friendly," Brie joined in on the conversation. "She never bites anyone, does she?"

"Okay, what if it's, like, the same thing as the deer?" Stiles asked. "You know, like, how animals start acting weird right before an earthquake or something?"

"Meaning what?" Lydia turned to him, unamused. "There's gonna be an earthquake?"

"Or something," Stiles said. "Maybe it means something's coming. Something bad."

"It was a deer and a dog," Lydia said.

"What's that thing you say about threes?" Brie added. "Once, twice..."

Just as she said that something hit the window. She turned suddenly and saw a splash of blood on the window right beside her.

The teacher walked over to the window and that's when Brie saw the whole swarm of crows flying straight towards the window.

The began to crash into the window, dying from the impact. But some began to break the glass, getting into the classroom.

"Get down, everyone!" the teacher ordered and continued screaming at everyone to get down.

Stiles reached over to Brie and pulled her down with him, covering her so he could protect her form the crows.

They began clawing at peoples faces, leaving everyone with scars. Brie clung onto Stiles, wondering what on earth was happening.

She saw Lydia and Allison huddled together under another table.

Once all the bird were either gone or dead, they began to slowly rise, looking at all the black feathers and dead birds scattered around the classroom.
